According to PPL, almost 700 homes are without power in Luzerne and Schuylkill County.
PPL is reporting that 652 customers are being affected.
In Schuylkill County, the outage is reported to include parts of Zion Grove and Nuremberg. In Luzerne County, the outage includes Black Creek Township.
The cause of the outage is reported to be a tree that fell on some wires on Mountain. Power is expected to be restored by 2:30am. Mountain Road is currently closed between Miller's Road and the rear entrance to Eagle Rock.
The was reported to have fallen on a passing car as well. No word on if there were any injuries.
