Doris A Knerr, 88, of Pitman, passed away Saturday, August 4th, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Doris was born in Mowry, on November 20, 1929, a daughter of the late Alma (Stehr) and Daniel Wolfgang.

She graduated from the Ashland High School and worked on the family farm before working in the Laundry Department and later as an Aide at the Friendly Nursing Home retiring at age 72.

She was a member of Hepler's Church of God, and was a member of its Ladies Class.

She was also member of the Woodmen of the World of Pitman

Doris loved being with her family, and also enjoyed gardening and flowers, shopping and her cat Romaine

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth K. "Pete" Knerr who passed away in 1995.

Doris is survived by two daughters, Ruby, wife of John Heim and Marjorie, wife of Randy Snyder all of Pitman; two sisters Christine Yoder, of Dillsburg and Opal Brosius, of Pitman; 6 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchilren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister Charlotte Zimmerman and one brother Daniel Wolfgang

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 10-11 at Hepler's Church of God Pitman with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bob Cassel officiating. Interment will follow in Hepler's Church of God Cemetery, Pitman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hepler's Church of God.

Russell M. Bradford, 77, Pottsville, died Saturday morning at his home with his family by his side.

Born September 11, 1940 in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Russell M. and Mary (Goddard) Bradford.

Russell proudly served in the US Navy from 1958 to 1962. He retired from Boscov’s Department store where he worked as a theft prevention engineer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert E. Bradford; sister, Elizabeth Chroniger; and brother in law, Robert Hassler.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Alice (Byrnes) Bradford, Pottsville; sons Russell Bradford husband of Sherry L., Ephrata; Richard Sidella husband of Stacey, Shippensburg; Kevin Sidella, husband of Bethany, Linglestown; daughter Jennifer Sidella Craley wife of Paul, Red Lion; 3 granddaughters; 7 great- grandsons including his little buddy Jace, the two shared a special bond; 5 great-granddaughters; sisters Elaine Kahn and Judith Hassler, both of Delaware.

Paul M. Semanco, 78, of 6 South Nichols Street, St. Clair, died Saturday August 4, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, July 13, 1940, he was a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Manura) Semanco.

He graduated from St. Clair High School in 1958 then joined the United States Marine Corps, serving 7 years.

Paul worked as a machine operator for multiple companies and in various other positions throughout his career before retiring.

He was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, St. Clair, where he was Past Parish President, trustee, and a member of the Citizens Club. He was also a member of the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (FOCA) where he served as Governor of the Central PA District for multiple terms. He was a life member of the Department of PA Marine Corps League, Coal Cracker Detachment, serving as PA State Commandant from 1997 – 1999.

Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Jean (Torick) Semanco, two sons: Gregory Semanco and his wife Jennifer of Auburn; Michael Semanco and his wife Melissa Ray of Valrico, FL; daughter Denise Spayd and her husband Jody of St. Clair; a brother Joseph Semanco and his wife Ann Marie of Georgetown, DE; and five Grandchildren: Nicholas, Zachary, Joshua, Caroline, and Grant Semanco.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:45 AM Wednesday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home 110 North 2nd Street, St. Clair, PA 17970. Further Services will be at 10:30 AM at St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 109 North Nichols Street St. Clair. The Rev. Jeff Zias will be officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday and 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael's Memorial Fund, 110 N Morris St., St. Clair, PA 17970 or Marine Corps League Scholarship Fund, C/O Jeff Butch 104 Winding Hill Drive, Lancaster, PA 17601. Howard E. "Heb" Heberling, Jr., 94, of Tower City, passed away Saturday at Linden Village, Lebanon.

Born in Reinerton, June 28, 1924, a son of the late Howard Sr., and Ellen Fetterhoff Heberling.

Heb worked as a coal miner the majority of his life, he worked at the former AMP, Inc., Tower City for ten years before retiring in 1986.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tower City. Heb was a life member of the Tower City Loyal Order of Moose #1603, Tower City where he was an active member of the pool team up until the age of 89.

Heb enjoyed traveling, playing pool, spending time at his cabin at the lake and being with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Edith "Dolly" Heberling, 2010; two brothers, Lamar and Harold Heberling.

Surviving are a son, James "Heb" Heberling and his wife Sherri, Williamstown; a daughter, Judy Bitterman and her husband Gary, Fredericksburg; six grandchildren, Scott Bitterman, Jamie More, Melissa Henry, Ian, Shane and Seth Heberling; three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Tower City. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Heb's name should be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 415 E. Grand Avenue, Tower City PA 17980.
