Eleanor T. Antz, 93, Frackville, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East, Pottsville.
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Florence Haupt Huth. She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Parish, Frackville.
Eleanor enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren playing sports. She had a passion for football and enjoyed cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. She had a love for animals and always cared for her dogs throughout her life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband William Curran and her second husband with whom she had been married for 31 years before his passing in 2004, Anthony Antz; her son William “Billy” Curran in 1976; her grandson: Joey Zulkowski; her three brothers: Francis, John and Joe Huth; her three sisters: Agnes Huth, Jean Huth and Mary Rudiman.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter Kathy and her husband Joseph Zulkowski, Frackville; her step-daughter, Cynthia and her husband Steve Skale and their children Kenneth and Robin, San Pedro, CA; her grandchildren: William Zulkowski, Washington, Jamie Zulkowski, Ashland, Tommy Zulkowski and his fiancé Amanda McCloskey, Fountain Springs; her six great-grandchildren: Cody, Ryder, Zane, Zayden, Zavery and Zoey; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville with Fr. Brian Miller officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9 to the time of service. Interment will be in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made, in Eleanor’s name, to Hillside SPCA at PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901.

Edward R. Pautienus, 80, Girardville, a man of great faith went home to meet his maker on Sunday morning at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Shenandoah.
Born in Maizeville, where he was a longtime resident, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Cominsky Pautienus. He was the former caretaker of St. Louis Cemetery and several other Frackville cemeteries for many years.
He was a member and volunteer of the former Our Lady of Siluva Catholic Church, Maizeville, maintaining the church and its properties until it closed. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Girardville.
Ed was a 1955 graduate of Gilberton High School and a 1960 graduate of Penn State with degrees in Biology and Secondary Education. He did post graduate work at UCLA before becoming the first PA resident to join the Peace Corps serving in Nigeria, West Africa from 1961 to 1964. A former mayor of Gilberton he was always an advocate for people in need and a caretaker for his family and friends. He was an avid Eagles fan and as a younger man enjoyed skiing, hunting and trips to various casinos and was a life member of Continental Hose Co. #3, Gilberton.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; William, Robert and Joseph Pautienus.
Ed is survived by his two sisters; Bernice Schucker, New Cumberland and Joan Carl, Tower City also by sisters-in-law Anna Marie Pautienus, Fayetteville, PA and Joan Pautienus, Frackville, several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Girardville, with Rev. Paul Rothermel, pastor, as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Louis Cemetery, Frackville. Friends may call at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until time of mass.

Ronald E. Yodis, 82, of Shenandoah, passed away Monday at Gino Merli Veterans Center, Scranton.
Born in Shenandoah, June 12, 1936, he was a son of the late Marie Beecroft.
He was a graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah.
Ronald served in the Air Force.
He retired from Ateeco Inc., Mrs. T’s Pierogies, Shenandoah.
Ron was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Frackville.
Surviving are his wife, Elaine A. Zukowski Yodis, and his brother-in-law, Joseph Zukowski, Shenandoah; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
