Harry J. Barnes, age 83, of St. Clair, PA , passed away on Thursday, September 13th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East in Pottsville.
Born in Diener's Hill, PA on July 10, 1935, he was the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Shaffer) Barnes.
Harry was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1953. He served in the US Army over in the Phillipines after the Korean Conflict and then worked in the shipping and recieving department for Fisher Scientific International, LLC in New Jersey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lucy Barnes, a son Grary Barnes, four brothers: Robert Barnes Jr, Roy, Carl, and Clair Barnes and four sisters: Doris Meade, Alice Hock, Barbara Barnes, and Mary Lou Mack.
Harry is survived by a brother-in-law William J. Mack; four nieces Lisa Munsch, Sandy Maroukis, Carol Higgins, Rose Jack; his companion Barbara Pepper; and grand nieces and grand nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 10AM on Saturday, September 22nd, with Msgr. William Glosser officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family Saturday morning from 9-10AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment with Military Honors will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Saint Clair.

Mildred J. Stripe, 81, formerly of Cressona & Orwigsburg, died Sunday, September 16th, at Seton Manor Inc., Orwigsburg.
Mildred was born in Union Township, on October 17, 1936, a daughter of the late Josephine S. (Heverling) and Charles H. Ritz.
She attended Bethany Christian Fellowship E.C. Cressona.
She was employed as a Nurses Aid at The Hamburg Center for over 24 Years. She retired in 1997.
Mildred is survived by
Five daughters, Deborah L., wife of Robert Hartline
Susan D. , wife of Paul Kofchock
Heidi J., wife of Mark Gibbons
Tracy L., wife of Jon D. Gipe
Regina, L. Stripe, wife of Susan Butler
And her son, Justin R. Stripe, husband of Michelle
Sister Carol, wife of Claude Heagy and brother Thomas Rhoads, husband of Barbara.
She is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Norman W. Stripe Jr. in 2003. Mildred’s family would like to express their gratitude and Thanks to the Seton Manor, Long Term Care Unit, for their loving care and support.
A Celebration of Life Service, for Mildred, will be held on Friday, September 21 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton-Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg. Visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Service.
