Marie T. Sokoloski, 95, of High Rd. Ashland, PA passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center, Shenandoah, PA.
Born in Ashland October 9, 1922 the daughter of the late Francis and Edna (Mattern) Leister.
Marie graduated from Ashland Schools. She was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland, Gordon Senior Citizens, and Gordon Fire Company Auxiliary.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband: Leo Sokoloski, April 2007. Three brothers: William, Paul, and Francis. Two sisters: Romana Wisloski and Rose Bartik.
Surviving are a son: Leo husband of Kay Sokoloski of Gordon, PA. Three grandchildren: Mary Norton of Schuylkill Haven, PA; Leo V. Sokoloski of Bloomsburg, PA; Michael J. Sokoloski of Lavelle, PA. Four great grandchildren: Christopher of Brooklyn, NY; Matthew of Texas; David and Timothy of Lavelle, PA. Nieces and nephews survive.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 24, 2018 at the St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland, PA with Rev. Paul Rothermel officiating. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Ft. Springs, PA. Viewing will be Monday, 9:30-10:45 AM at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA.
