Ashland Celebrates Applefest

Even though it was a little wet, the community still came out to enjoy Applefest in Ashland.

The event took place Saturday at Eureka Park and included vendors and food from the Washington Fire Company, Wilburton Fire Company, Bissinger's Apple Dumplings, Vince's Cheesesteaks, Skook House of Jerky, and Grilled Cheese Cafe 2.

A basket raffle was held along with live music.

The American Red Cross and Ashland Fire Chief Phillip Groody were also at the event to make residents aware of their Smoke Alarm Installation Program.

Washington Fire Company sponsored the event.
