According to the Pennsylvania State Police, around 12:52am, PSP Troopers were dispatched to 635 Beaver Valley Road, Beaver Township, Columbia County, near Bloomsburg, and north of Zion Grove and Nuremberg.
During the course of the investigation by police, the situation resulted in a barricaded gunman inside the home.
Surrounding homes were evacuated and local roads were closed to ensure the safety of residents in the area, according to police.
A Pennsylvania State Police S.E.R.T. was activated and cleared the residence.
Beaver-Main Elementary School was closed Monday due to the proximately of the incident.
The incident is still under investigation and all roads in the area of reopened. A Columbia County Coroner was called to the scene.
