Centioles in Girardville is set to reopen next week, under new ownership.
After operating in Girardville for almost 70 years, in late May, Centioles Pizza, closed it's doors. In July that all changed. The Centiole Family announced on their Facebook page that they would be gifting the infamous Schuylkill County business to their friends who are more like family, Todd and Sandy Selgrade.
On Wednesday, the Selgrades held a soft opening with an official Grand Opening scheduled for Wednesday, November 21st.
The pizza shop feels the same as before, with Dave Willis and Margaret Cole, employees and the familiar faces at Centioles, staying on board to make the pizzas.
The Selgrades tell us the business will stay the same, for now. Come the spring they plan on adding delivery, pizza by the slice, and maybe even a food truck to take the business to events. Half baked pies will still be available. The weekly hours will change slightly being open Wednesday through Saturday, 4:00pm to 10:00pm.
Any past gift certificates, gift cards, or fundraiser tickets that were sold previously will still be accepted until June 30, 2019.
For now, the Selgrades say they are going to focus on consistency and making great pizza.
When asked what motivated them to take on the long time business, "We wanted to see Centioles stay in Girardville, our family has been friends with the Centioles for the past 50 years and we wanted to see the legacy continue". said Todd Selgrade.
