According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Stroudsburg, around 8:20am, Tuesday morning, troopers from the Stroudsburg Barracks were dispatched to the Paradise Township Municipal Building located at 5912 Paradise Valley Road, Paradise Township, Monroe County near Mount Pocono for reports of "Shots Fired" within the building.
When troopers arrived, state police and township police took a man into custody without incident with another man being found dead.
Police have identified David Green, 72, of Swiftwater, Monroe County as the suspect and Michael Tripus, 65, of Stroudsburg, Monroe County as the fatal victim.
State Police stated there is no threat to the public or the surrounding areas.
