Elaine J. Gilbert, 82, of Schuylkill Haven, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 31st, at ManorCare, Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville on February 13, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Paul & Mabel (Felty) Brown.
She was the loving wife of James Riley Gilbert.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Carl W. Brown.
Elaine had been employed as a machine operator at Wright's Knitting Mill, Auburn.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her husband, Elaine is also survived by two daughters: Patricia Mehle, Littlestown, PA, & Barbara Gonder, Elizabethville, four sons: Charles Bunnell, Pottsville, Thomas E. Gilbert, Tivili, NY, James R. Gilbert, Schuylkill Haven, & Michael Gilbert, Schuylkill Haven, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Jean A. Bernd, Lancaster, & Shirley M. Ketrow, Hagerstown, MD, and nieces & nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted by Chaplain David Borton on Saturday, November 3rd, at 10 a.m. at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven.
There will be no viewing prior to the time of service.
Interment will be held at the family's convenience.

Colonel Joshua H. Wilson, Jr. D.D.S, 82, of Auburn, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 31st, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, E. Norwegian St., Pottsville.
Born in Pottsville, PA on May 7, 1936, he was a son of the late Joshua H. Wilson, Sr. & Esther Fegley Wilson.
Dr. Wilson was a graduate of Pottsville High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University and received his Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Pottsville, where he served as the longtime President of Consistory.
Doc, known to loved ones as "Sonny," was a lifetime learner, remained very active, enjoyed the outdoors and gardening, time with his family and had fostered many children over the years, in addition to being a member of many organizations.
Dr. Wilson owned his dental practice on West Market Street in Pottsville, for 46 years and had retired after honorably serving in the Army Reserves Dental Corps, serving our Nation for a total of 35 years, and having achieved his Ranger Tab.
He was the founder and coordinator of the Boys Soccer Mid-Summer Cup Classic Tournament, Schuylkill Haven.
Joshua Wilson is survived by five children: Josef Oggier & wife, Erin, Manheim, PA, Joshua Grubb, Auburn, Jewell Wilson, of Newark, OH, Jade Wilson, Auburn, & Jason Wilson, Auburn, and two grandchildren: Liam Brungard, & Callen Oggier.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by an infant brother.
Services will be privately held at the family's convenience.

Jane Dameron, 90, of 70 Thornyapple Lane, Levittown, passed away Wednesday October 31, 2018 at her residence.
Born in Frackville, August 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Marion (Smith) Walter.
She was a 1946 graduate of Frackville High School and a 1951 graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College.
Jane retired having taught 1st grade for forty years at Bensalem School District.
She was an active member of Faith Reformed Church, Levittown PA and a lifelong member St Peter’s United Church of Christ, Frackville PA.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM from the Nice-Hart Funeral Home Inc., 9 North Lehigh Avenue, Frackville, PA, 17931. The Rev. Douglas Scalise will be officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Faith Reformed Church, Levittown.

David L. Haslam, 69, formerly of Wadesville, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 in Ashland PA.
Born in Pottsville, April 11, 1949, He was a son of the late Elmer and Ruth (Patton) Haslam.
David was a musician in several bands and the owner of Dream Weaver Entertainment.
He was preceded in death by a sister Delphine Woodring.
Surviving are his wife Anna (Berkheiser) Haslam, daughter Britni Houser and her husband Jared of New Philadelphia, son Ian Haslam and his wife Ann Marie of Lavelle, 2 brothers Donald Haslam and Richard Stefan, a sister Georgine Hamilton and 3 grandchildren Audrey & Cole Houser and Colin Haslam.
Celebration of Life Service will be held will be held Friday November 16, 2018 at Goodfella’s Warehouse, 1105 South Centre St, Pottsville, PA 17901 from 8:00 PM – 1:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the David Haslam Memorial Fund, C/O Britni Houser, 24 Valley Street, New Philadelphia, PA 17959 or M & T Bank, 1 South Center Street, Pottsville. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

David R. Chuplis, 36, Girardville passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday at his home.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Robert and Judith Stanton Chuplis of Girardville.
Dave was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School and was an outdoor enthusiast. He enjoyed hiking and shooting the BB guns with his son David.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Anthony and Alberta Chuplis and his maternal grandparents Thomas and Bernice Stanton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son David G. Chuplis and his mother Chantelle Klinger, Pottsville; his brother Robert Chuplis, Girardville and his girlfriend Sadie Hart; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday November 11th from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Girardville. Friends are invited to a visitiation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday evening. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions be made to Robert T. Chuplis at 354 W. Main Street Girardville, PA 17935 to help defray funeral costs.
