The event was held at the Simpson Methodist Church, located on Biddle Street.
Over 100 of the borough residents attended a quick service inside the church at 5:00pm which was led by Pastor Timothy Christman with Father Rothermel from St. Borromeo's Parish in Ashland as a guest speaker.
The North Schuylkill Treble Maker Chorale also sang.
Afterwards, everyone exited the church where the borough's Christmas Tree was lit for the holiday season.
