Around noon, Sunday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 709 West Market Street, Pottsville, for a working structure fire with possible entrapment.
When crews arrived they quickly searched the structure for any victims but all family members were accounted for.
The 2nd alarm fire destroyed the home at 709 with an adjacent home suffering minor damage. It took crews over an hour until the fire was brought under control.
The American Red Cross tells us they helping a family of 2 adults and 7 children who were displaced from the fire.
One firefighter was reported to have suffered a minor injury while fighting the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
