Eva M. Dubbs Zimmerman, 91, of Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Schoolyard Square, Pine Grove.

Born on June 8, 1927 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late James A. Brensinger and Leah H. Herring Brensinger Longenecker.
She was a 1945 graduate of Pine Grove High School and graduate of Empire Beauty School.
Eva was a self employed beautician for 44 years.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Calvin M. Dubbs; an infant daughter; second husband Earl "Zip" Zimmerman; granddaughter, Stephanie Brown Vinansky; brother Thomas Brensinger.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy and husband Randall Brown of Schuylkill Haven; son, Larry Sr. and wife Bonnie Dubbs of Palmyra; 5 grandchildren, Natalie and husband Tim Thomas, Dr. Amy Brown, Larry Jr. and wife Amy Dubbs, Kenneth and wife Suzanne Dubbs, Matthew and wife Nichole Dubbs; 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Dr. Richard Schoenleber officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 312 S. Tulpehocken St. Pine Grove, PA 17963 in her memory.

Timothy Scott Strausser, 53, of Pottsville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday at home.

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of Carrie Hower Strausser, Pottsville, and the late Samuel Strausser, Sr. He was a 1983 graduate of Saint Clair High School. He was employed by U.S.S. Achey, Schuylkill Haven.

He enjoyed 4-wheeling, road trips with friends and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Rosa Diaz, Adrian Pauly and Jemma Pauly.

Tim is survived by his wife, the former Tammy Hein; a son, Shane Strausser, Pottsville; his adopted daughter, Eva Strausser, at home; nine stepchildren, Ben Yarnell, Justin Pauly (spouse, Alyssa), Kayla Dierwechter (spouse, Chris), Katelynn Yarnell (fiancé, Nick Lempfert), Jonathan Pauly, Amanda Pauly (companion, Bismarck Cabrera), Alexis Pauly, Emily Pauly, all of Pottsville, and Kaitlyn Diaz (spouse, Esvin), Bradenton, Florida; eight grandchildren. He is also survived by four siblings, Sam Strausser, Jr. (spouse, Dot), Pottsville, Deb Reiner (spouse, Randy), Tower City, Melissa Maidenford (spouse, Thomas), Pottsville, and Barb Koons, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at Dutcavich Funeral Home 200 Sunbury Street Minersville on Thursday from 6:00 P.M. and on Friday from 6:00 A.M. with a celebration of Tim’s life at 10:00 A.M.

Andrew Hutsko, 85, of Jonestown, Cass Township, passed away peacefully on Friday at his home with all of his family by his side.

Born in the home in which he lived, he was a son of the late George and Mary Mynio Hutsko. He was a 1952 graduate of Cass Township High School, and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, having served in Guam and other locations in the Pacific.

He worked at several regional manufacturing firms, including the Lebanon Foundry, Extrudo, Hayden, Bound Brook Bearing and, finally, Hexcel, from which he retired.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Choir for over 50 years, and organized breakfasts sponsored by the parish Holy Name Society. Along with other members of the parish, he worked hard to make the annual St. Nick’s picnic a well-known regional event. He was best known for his bleenies and bean soup.

Andy was equally dedicated to his family, hosting get-togethers at the family homestead and vacationing with his children and grandchildren at several shore locations each summer.

He was also member of the former Minersville American Legion and a life member of South Cass Fire Company, Primrose.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, Nicholas, Peter and John Hutsko.

Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Ann Schur, to whom he was married for 56 years; three children, Andrew Mark Hutsko (spouse, Petronella), Cass Township, Lisa Zimmerman (spouse, Dr. Robert), Auburn, and Tania Hoffman (spouse, Robert), Cass Township; five grandchildren, Mary and Nadia Zimmerman, Mallory and Nolan Hoffman, and Logan Hutsko. He is also survived by a sister, Anna Pollog (spouse, Andrew), Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at Dutcavich Funeral Home, Minersville on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 6:00 A.M. until 10:15 A.M. Parastas will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Requiem Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in St. Nicholas Church, 415 North Front Street, Minersville. Interment will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. Carol M. "Nana" Gonder, 72, of Tower City, passed away Friday at UMPC, Pinnacle, Harrisburg.

Born in Sheridan, November 3, 1946, a daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Kelly Bendigo.

Carol was a retired seamstress from the garment industry.

She enjoyed being with her family, gardening and spending time at her former camp in Millersburg along the Susquehanna River.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Fickinger, 2017

Surviving are her husband, Donald L. Gonder; one son, Chip Gonder and his wife Corie, Tower City; son-in-law, Ralph Fickinger, Williamstown; five grandchildren, Kelley Fickinger Ney and her husband Steve; Riley Fickinger and his companion Kelly Deitrich; Shiann Wolfe, Colin and Chloe Gonder; two great grandchildren, Carter Fickinger and Ryder Ney; two sisters, Janice Picola, Williamstown and Judy Hentz, Horsham. Nieces and nephews.
