Man Wanted on Aggravated Assault Charges After Causing Crash in Ashland

A man is facing assault charges after a crash in Ashland Friday morning.

According to Ashland Police, the crash occurred just after 9:30am in the 1400 Block of Centre Street in Ashland.

Police say Laurie Ann Lazarski was driving down Centre Street with her boyfriend, Justin Braunstein as a passenger.  They got into an argument, Braunstein grabbed the wheel, causing the vehicle to turn north and crash into a parked vehicle.

After the impact, both vehicles hit and damaged the front porch of 1413 Centre Street.

After the crash, and before emergency personnel arrived, Braunstein fled with his dog down Centre Street.

Due to Braunstein being homeless, police checked a residence where he is known to frequent but was not found.

Chief Gerard Daley obtained a warrant for Braunstein's arrest and charges of aggravated assault and endangering another person.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Braunstein is asked to contact Police at (570) 875-2600 or contact the Schuylkill County Communications Center.

Also responding to the scene were American Hose Co, Washington Rescue, and Washington Ambulance.

Bother vehicles were towed from the scene by J&R Towing.
