Robin Lynne Shaner, 49, of Germanville Road, Ashland, PA passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA.
Born June 3, 1969 in Reading, PA the daughter of Ron and Sherry (Quinter) Slichter of Reading, PA.
Robin graduated from Reading High School. She was a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed camping.
Surviving are her husband: Barry Shaner, married July 29, 2005 of Ashland, PA. Children: Tiffany and Trisha Quinter; James Billman Jr.; Cody, Alexis, and Amber Shaner. Nine grandchildren.
Viewing will be held 12 noon until 2:00 PM, Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, PA.

Dorothy B. Lurwick, age 87, a resident of Rosewood Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven, formerly of Port Carbon passed away Thursday, December 27th, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Bethlehem.
Born in Rausch Creek, PA on March 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Theodore S. Boyer and Jennie M. (Kocher) Boyer Wolff.
Dorothy was a graduate of Tremont High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Port Carbon and the Port Carbon Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Frederick L. Powers on September 9, 1969, her second husband Edward J. Lurwick on September 10, 2002, and a brother Theodore Boyer Jr.
Dorothy is survived by four sons: Frederick L. Powers and his wife Karen, Pottsville, PA; Glenn R. Powers and his companion Deborah Cooper, Schuylkill Haven, PA; Bruce S. Powers and his wife Terisa, Hazleton, PA; and Gary A. Powers and his partner Miguel, Palm Springs, CA; two daughters: Rosemary Gappa and her husband Stan, Junction City, OR; and Bonnie S. Johns, St. Clair, PA; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister Nancy Brown, Raleigh, NC; two brothers: Leroy Boyer, Newtown, PA; and Steven Boyer and his wife Jane, Tremont, PA; a sister-in-law Mary Jane Boyer, Mechanicsburg, PA; and nieces and nephews.
A Religious Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon on Friday January 4th at 11AM, with Pastor Lois Sterling officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing on Friday morning from 9-11AM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held in the Schuylkill Memorial Park Cemetery Schuylkill Haven, PA.

Clara Lou (Vaughn) McKinley, 80 years of age of Acorn Drive Lake Hauto, Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Thursday morning December 31, 2018 at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Medical Center in Coaldale, Pennsylvania.
Born on November 19, 1938 in Duggar, Indiana the daughter of the late Garland, and Bueleah (Delph) Vaughn. She was also predeceased by her husband Christian McKinley on April 25, 2004.
Surviving are; sons, Chris A. McKinley and his wife Deborah of Tamaqua, Michael J. McKinley who resided at home; daughter, Lori Foose wife of Quincy of Grier City; grandchildren, Jennifer McKinley, Amanda Herring; sister, Judy Sutton and her husband Mark of Terre Haute Indiana.
A homemaker, Clara was an avid reader.

Born on January 3, 1937 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late John and Grace Barr Leffler.
She was a 1954 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, Tremont.
Shirley had worked as a seamstress for Pine Valley.
Preceding her in death was her husband Donald Ney, a son-in-law David Scales.
Surviving are a son Donald and wife Sherri Ney of Pine Grove; daughter, Cindy Ney Scales of Steelton; 4 grandchildren, Donald Jr. and wife Gwen Ney, Joel Ney, Joshua Ney, Terajae Scales; great granddaughter Evelyn Ney; a brother, Robert Leffler of Tremont.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:30 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Rod Finster and Donald Ney officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, January 5, 2019, from 10:00 am - 11:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Ravine.

George L. Ney, 50, of Zion Grove,passed away on Sunday, December 30th, 2018 at the Geisinger Medical Center, due to injuries received in a work related accident.
George was born in Pottsville, on April 25, 1968, a son of Dolores (Urban) Ney, of Zion Grove, and the late George Ney.
He was a graduate of the West Hazleton High School and Vo-Tech, and was employed as a mechanic for Waste Management (WMPI) for 30 years.
George had a passion for restoring both cars and trucks was extremely talented as a mechanic, body man, painter and fabricator and was truly a jack of all trades. A generous man who never turned his back on anyone who needed help, he lived by the motto of doing the best you can in life.
In addition to his mother Dolores, he is survived by his brother Billy Ney, of Zion Grove, and his aunt Jeanette Benjamin, of Berwick, along with an extended family of many friends and neighbors who he considered his loved ones.
To honor George's wishes, everyone is asked to remember him as the man he was, as no public services will be held.
