Several Schuylkill County Municipalities have announced snow emergencies and parking bans ahead of the weekend storm.
Ashland - SNOW EMERGENCY - Effective 2:00am to 6:00am, Sunday, January 20, 2019 - Parking will be prohibited on Hoffman Boulevard from Brock Street to Centre Street and also on Centre Street from Front Street to 23rd Street. Residents are order to move their cars from these locations. Any vehicles that are not moved from the above locations will be fined $50 and towed away at the owner's expense.

Frackville - SNOW EMERGENCY - With the predicted snow storm forecasted for Saturday into Sunday, Frackville Borough is placing a parking ban on the Snow Emergency routes effective 2PM, Saturday until further notice. Please do not park your vehicles along Lehigh Ave. or Oak St.
Mahanoy City - SNOW BAN - Snow ban will be in effect starting noon Saturday until noon Sunday. No parking on: Centre, Main, W South, and Liberty Hill.

McAdoo - SNOW BAN - With the projected snowfall for this weekend the McAdoo Borough Snow Ban will be in effect Saturday-9AM January 19th and end 9PM Sunday January 20th.
Port Carbon - SNOW EMERGENCY - Starting Saturday at 1:00pm and ending on Sunday at 7:00pm. All vehicles must be removed from emergency route
Pottsville - SNOW EMERGENCY - Level 1 - will be in effect as of 12:00pm, Saturday and will remain in effect until 6:00pm, Sunday. All vehicles are to be removed from Snow Emergency Routes and Fire Lanes.
Schuylkill Haven School District - Due to the weekend weather and frigid temperatures for Monday, the Schuylkill Haven School District will be closed on Monday, January 21, 2019.
Schuylkill Transportation System - Due to the Governor signing a State of Emergency asking to postpone travel in preparation of the upcoming winter storm, STS is cancelling all service for Saturday, January 18, 2019. Updates will be provided in regards to Monday's service.
Shenandoah - SNOW BAN - in effect Saturday January 19th, 2019 at noon and will continue until Sunday January 20th, 2019 at noon. No parking on Main St from Washington to Laurel and from West to White Street. Vehicles will be ticked and towed
St. Clair - PARKING RESTRICTION - There will be NO PARKING on the entire length of 2nd and entire length of Hancock Streets from Saturday, January 19 at 2pm until Monday January 21 until 10am as a result of the projected winter storm. Violators will be ticketed and towed.
