Effective Monday, February 4 at 7:00 a.m., maternity services will begin at the new unit located on the fourth floor of the East Norwegian Street hospital at 700 East Norwegian Street Pottsville.
Crews have been working since early July.

* 15,000 square-feet, designed with comfort and accessibility in mind.
* Five labor delivery rooms
* Two obstetric triage rooms
* OR suite available right on the unit for cesarean sections.
* Nine family-friendly post-partum rooms
* General nursery and isolation nursery
The Family Birth and Newborn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill is the only facility of its kind in Schuylkill County providing maternity services.
