William E. Bertsch , 85, of N. Second St., St. Clair, died Monday at Gardens at theYork Terrace, Pottsville.

Born in Pottsville, July 31, 1933, He was a son of the late John and Anna (Morrow) Bertsch.

William E. Bertsch served in the Navy during the Korean War.

He retired as a laborer from the St. Clair Borough and worked as a crossing guard.

He was of the Methodist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta (Subach) Bertsch in 2016; 2 Stepson Donald and
John Bogdonanwicz.

Surviving are a daughter Lori Bertsch of St. Clair. 2 stepdaughters Chistine Petrovich of Barnesville; Carol Curreli of Gilberton; 1 Stepson Rick Bogdonanwicz of IN; 8 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchilden; 1 Great Great Grandchild.

Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 PM Friday from Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 North Second Street St. Clair with Rev. Jack Murray officiating. Friends may call from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will announced at a later date.

Gary L. Correll, 64, of Deer Lake, passed away Sunday surrounded by his family and feline companion Toby.

Born in Pottsville on Dec. 21, 1954, he was the son of Betty A. Fidler Correll and the late Paul Correll.

Gary was a 1972 graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School. He remembered fondly his time as a Boy Scout in the Port Clinton Troop.

Gary coached his son's Little League team in Deer Lake and also coached his daughter's softball team in Orwigsburg.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Orwigsburg. He was also a member of the Port Clinton and Deer Lake fire companies.

Gary retired from Garden State Tanning after 30 years of service. He later worked for ESTES trucking as a driver.

In addition to his father, Gary is predeceased by siblings, Anthony and David Correll.

In addition to his mother, Gary is survived by his loving wife, the former Donna Fisher; children, Jennifer F. Hoover, wife of Evan, of Schuylkill Haven, and Daniel R. Correll, companion to Jayne Kuhn, of Orwigsburg; along with grandchildren, Austin Correll, Emily Correll and Tyler Hoover. He is also survived by siblings, Carol Marko, of Shoemakersville, Betty Moyer, Paul Correll Jr., Harold Correll, Barbara Correll and Deborah Kline, all of Hamburg, along with several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Grabowski Funeral Home is entrusted with services. Virden "Pop" H Header, age 92, of Deep Creek Road, Ashland, passed away Monday, February 18, 2019 at his residence.

He was born on Tuesday, November 2, 1926, in Barry Twp, a son of the late Roy Header and the late Mamie Ludwig Header. He was raised by his grandparents C. Monroe and Mary Header

He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School.

He served in the US Navy during World War II.

Pop was a mail carrier for the US Postal Service until his retirement and also had worked as a self employed auto mechanic.

He was a member of Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample.

Pop's greatest joy was his family and his greatest passion was fishing. He enjoyed countless fishing trips with family and friends and touched many lives through his love of fishing. His favorite time was family fishing trips to Canada. He was also an avid race fan, spending many Saturday nights at Selinsgrove Speedway.

His wife Myrna L Neiswinter Header, to whom he was married for sixty years, passed away in 2011. He was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by four daughters, Jane L Fetterhoff and her husband Larry of Hegins, Alice M Strohecker and her husband Roger of Ashland, Cathy A Clouser and her husband Kevin of Ashland, and Bonnie J Duffy of Ashland; two sons, James R Header and his wife Fay of Duncannon, and Earl D Header of Ashland; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Ivan Header of Sunbury; four sisters, Violet Tschopp of Lykens, Ellen Steele of Lykens, Ruth Paul of Reading, and Anna Erdman of Northumberland; and several nieces and nephews,

Funeral services will be held at Barry Salem United Methodist Church, Weishample, on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. W. Keith Rockwell officiating.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Saturday at the church.

Burial will be made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Barry Salem United Methodist Church, 844 Deep Creek Road, Ashland PA 17921.

Larry L. Zimmerman, Sr., 76, of Oak Grove Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at home.

Born on January 26, 1943 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Harry A. and Ruth I. Strausser Zimmerman.

He was a 1960 graduate of Pine Grove High School and was a member of Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, Tremont.

Larry was a Machine Mechanic at Guilford Mills in Pine Grove.

He enjoyed woodworking, car racing and working on cars.

Preceding him in death were two brothers Allen H. and Dean R. Zimmerman

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Fern A. Nagle Zimmerman; two daughters, Leanna L. and husband Ronald Reeves, Karen M. and husband Joseph Fegley; a son, Larry L. Jr. and wife Wendy Zimmerman, all of Pine Grove; 7 grandchildren, Samantha Fisher, Selina Daubert, Larry Zimmerman, III, Michael Fegley, Justin Fegley, Karissa Levan, Jennifer Reeves; 9 great grandchildren; two sisters, June Kohler of Salisbury, MD, Donna Hartman of Milton; a brother Dennis Zimmerman of Pine Grove; his two best buddies Snowball and Marley.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at Echo Valley Grace Brethren Church, 46 Tremont Rd., Tremont with Elder Tom Williams officiating. There will be a viewing on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the Church. Interment will follow in the Suedberg Church of God, Pine Grove.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Hospice of Central Pa., 1320 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110 in his memory.

Clara K. Hooper, 88, of Conrad Richter Dr., Pine Grove, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born on December 27, 1930 in Beccaria Twp., Clearfield Co, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Rose Alleman Heverly.
Clara worked at Pennfield Farms in Fredericksburg.
Preceding her in death were her husband Robert C. Hooper; two sons, William Hooper and Robert Hooper.
Surviving are two daughters, Shirley and husband Thomas Graham of Lebanon, Jacqueline and 
husband Ken Freysinger of Hummelstown, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. Interment will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
