Schuylkill County Law Enforcement seized thousands of dollars worth of drugs during a bust in Gordon on Thursday.
Items of contraband were subsequently seized from the residence, including, but not limited to the following:
- Approximately two hundred forty grams (240 grams) of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $24,000.00
- One Shotugn
- Several glassine packets of suspect Fentanyl
- Items of drug paraphernalia utilized for the packaging, repackaging, and weighing of controlled substance.
As a result of the search, John Kessler, 46, was charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act and the Pennsylvania Crimes Code as follows:
- One felony count of Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine);
- One felony count of Persons Not to Possess/Use/Manufacture, control, sell or transfer Firearms;
- Two misdemeanor counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine and suspected Fentanyl);
- One misdemeanor count of Drug Paraphernalia
Kessler was arraigned by the Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale. Hale set Kessler’s bail at $75,000 straight cash.

Kessler was unable to post bail at this time and was remanded to the Schuylkill County Prison awaiting his preliminary hearing at Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale’s office.
