Presented by Manufacturers Resource Center (MRC), the Student Video Contest: “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” (WSCM) gives students in Berks and Schuylkill Counties the opportunity to network with local manufacturers as well as gain new perspectives, record their experiences and present them in an educational and “cool” way through documentary video production. The program was created to generate excitement that draws students towards considering manufacturing career paths to create a 21st century workforce.
“As the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” contest spreads across 15 regions in Pennsylvania, the students’ efforts are expected to bring a record voter turnout this season.” says Jack Pfunder, President & CEO of Manufacturers Resource Center. “We’re excited that a program started here in the Lehigh Valley has become so impactful for education, manufacturing and our communities. The public voting really allows students to connect across school districts in each region, in an educational, fun way.”
