Bruce I Neumeister, age 84, of Barry Twp., passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 at Geisinger Home Health and Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.
He was born on Monday, September 24, 1934, in Barry Twp, a son of the late Irvin Neumeister and the late Martha Schucker Neumeister.
He was a coal miner in several area mines prior to his retirement.
Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Philadelphia Phillies, the New York Mets, and following the Little League World Series.
He was preceded in death by his parents; by two brothers, Kenneth Neumeister and Frank Neumeister; and by two sisters, Arlene Klinger and Barbara Buhl.
He is survived by his wife Janice E Bloch Neumeister, to whom he was married for 61 years.
He is also survived by three daughters, Bonnie J Keim and her husband Danny of Ashland, Donna L Ferraiolo and her husband Dave of Ashland, Kathy A Freeman and her husband Bennett of Hegins; a grandson, Denny Keim of Mount Carmel; three granddaughters, Tara Keim of Ashland, Erica Ferraiolo of Philadelphia, and Vanessa Ferraiolo of Philadelphia; two great granddaughters, Sarah Ringo of Ashland and Emma Keim of Mount Carmel; two brothers, Marlin Neumeister of Ashland and Walter Neumeister of Lavelle; two sisters, Gloria Ludwig of Niceville, FL and Carol Gahres of Ashland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample.

Russell Chuposka, 87, Maizeville, passed away peacefully Friday at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Gilberton, he was a son of the late John and Nancy Krolick Chuposka. Russ worked as a foreman for 32 years for Reading Anthracite and later worked in the transportation department for the former Ashland State Hospital until his retirement.
Russ was a member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville and a member and past president of ASUR.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Clifford Chuposka in 1971; his brother Emil Chuposka; sisters: Mary Lynch, Ruth Chuposka, Olga Allen and Rita Scarbinsky.
Russell is survived by his wife Jean Spaniard Chuposka with whom he would of celebrated 65 years of marriage in May; his son Doug Chuposka, Maizeville; his brother George Chuposka, Syracuse, NY; his two sisters: Theresa Chuposka, CA and Patricia Ritsko, Frackville; his two grandchildren: Ty and Brett; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be held at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Maizeville on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Petro Zvarych, pastor as the celebrant. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville on Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. with a Panakyda service at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery, Frackville.

John J. Vargovich, 88, of Lansford, PA died on Friday, March 8, 2019 in Hometown, PA. Born in Lansford on August 1, 1930, he was a son of the late John M. and Anna (nee Valco) Vargovich. A 1948 graduate of the former St. Ann’s High School, Lansford, John served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Prior to retiring, he worked as a computer repairman for RCA and Univac. John was a member of the former St. Michael Catholic Church, Lansford and he was a Ham Radio Operator. John is survived by a sister, Martha Dilley in Florida and numerous nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, and great great nephews and nieces. Predeceasing him were a brother, Joseph Vargovich and sisters, Mary Vargovich, Ann Bybel, Agnes Andel, and Rose Vargovich. Services will be announced when arrangements are finalized. Helen I. Miller, 93, formerly of Pine Grove, passed away on Friday, March 8, in the Rosewood Rehab. and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven.
Born on January 13, 1926, in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late George and Lillian Berger Staller .
Helen worked as a Laborer for Guilford Mills in the warping department and was the past president and vice-president of the Guilford Mills Union.
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove. She had been a volunteer for the Senior Services in Schuylkill County and was in the Peer Group at Rosewood for the last five years.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Miller in 1977, four Brothers, Roy Staller, Harry Staller, Luther Staller, and Bill Staller; and three Sisters, Katie Lengle, Annie Witmer, and Lucy Smith.
Surviving are two Daughters, Carol Morgan, wife of the late Raymond Morgan, of Pine Grove, Ann and husband Brian D. Pyle of Frackville, a Son, Scott and wife Joann Miller of Virginia; four Grandsons, Ray Morgan, Craig Morgan, Daniel MIller, Ryan Miller; six Great-Grandchildren, Kirsten, Tawny, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Cameron and Audry.
Funeral Services will be held at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., on Wednesday, March 13, at 2:00 P.M., with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, March 13, from 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
