Robert “Bob” Walter Scott, 79, of Ashland, PA passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at his home.
Born April 22, 1939 in Mt. Carmel, PA the son of the late Walter R. and Thelma B. (Klinger) Scott.
He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, class of 1958. He served as a PFC in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964. Bob was a truck driver for many years, driving for UPS for 25 years, and after retirement drove a school bus for Southern Columbia schools for 14 years. He enjoyed hunting with his sons, and serving his church Hope Community Church, Mt. Carmel.

Along with his parents, preceding Bob in death was a brother: James K. Scott.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, married August 21, 1965, Elaine (Snyder) Scott of Ashland, PA. Sons: Benjamin Scott of Lykens, PA; Timothy husband of Gretta Scott of Palmyra, PA; Stephen husband of Yelisabel Scott of Norman, OK; Daniel husband of Julia Scott of Winchester, VA; and Aaron husband of Rebecca Scott of Lynchburg, VA. Grandchildren: Ezra, Ethan, Victor, Lucas, Amelia, Savannah, and Vanessa. Sisters: Lois Brenneman and Linda Dowd both of Shippensburg, PA.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the Hope Community Church, Mt. Carmel, PA with Pastor Dan Renno officiating. Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Mt. Carmel. Viewing will be 9:30-11:00 AM Saturday, March 30 at the Hope Community Church.

Anna Mae Herring, 84, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Keystone Villa in Blandon.
Born on November 28, 1934 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy Granger Brown.
She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Reading. Anna Mae and her husband enjoyed power walking with other couples. She also loved painting, crafting, ceramic and her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, Donald Brown, Arnold Brown, and Landis Brown.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Sterling E. Herring; two daughters, Debra and husband Jack Sensenig of Sinking Spring, Wanda and husband Kirk Weinman of West Lawn; 6 grandchildren, Kristy, Jason, Nicole, Ashley, Zachary, and Andrew; 5 great grandchildren, Brianna, Adalynn, Devon, Gavin and Landon; brother, Larry "Chico" Brown of Pine Grove.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 29 at 2:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Rev. Randall Grossman officiating. There will be a viewing on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Pine Grove.

Darlene T. "Dee" Soult, age 70, of Mahanoy City, died Monday afternoon at her daughter Tammie's home in Park Place. Born in Jeansville she was the daughter of the late Roy and Dora (Beishline) Bevans. She had been employed in various local factories and cleaning jobs. Dee had a big heart and was know for her willingness to do anything for anyone and adored her ten grandchildren. She was a member of the Mahanoy City American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her husband Kenneth in 2001 and 2 brothers Peter and John Bevans and a grandson Jordan Troutman. . Survivors include her daughters Lori and her husband Dave Bickowski, Betty Lou and her husband Larry Levy, Tammie and her husband Duke Troutman, Tara and her husband Gary Brown and a son Kenny and his wife Heather. She is also survived by sisters Betty Markle, Shirley Tolerico, Ellie Leonard, Doris Damico, Margaret Steinmetz, Debra Matsko, Marilyn Bevans and brothers Roy, Christopher, Henry, Harold, Walter,Richard, David, and Lewis Bevans, her grandchildren Alyssa Sieck, Aaron and Ryan Bickowski, Meghan Flaim, Brandi and A.J. Levy, Bryson, Ayden and Gage Soult, and Tyler Brown. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and aunts and uncles. Relatives and friends are invited to call at David D.
