As part of planned facilities improvements at Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) –Schuylkill, the emergency room (ER) at LVH–Schuylkill S. Jackson Street campus is closing effective Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 8 a.m.
“LVH–Schuylkill has been on a journey to improve patient access and streamline services. As a result, we have completed several major construction and renovation projects, and realigned some services,” says Reppy. “The results have been very favorable with positive feedback from patients, visitors and employees.”
Beginning May 1, all ER services offered by LVH–Schuylkill will take place at the LVH–Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street campus, 700 E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
LVH–Schuylkill introduced a new $8 million emergency room to Schuylkill County in November 2016. The ER at LVH–Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street features 21 treatment rooms and a four-bed Fast Track service designed for minor injuries.
