A man is facing assault and other charges after he allegedly choked his mother and threatened to kill her.
According to Shenandoah Police, March 21, 2019 around 6:00pm, Police were dispatched to the 200 Block of West Mount Vernon St for a disturbance.
When police arrived, they learned Michael Kilkenny, 42, was upset that his mother had disciplined his son and began to argue her.
The argument became physical when Kilkenny grabbed his mother by her throat and threatened to kill her.
Kilkenny was charged with Aggravated Assault, Strangulation, Terroristic threats and related offenses and arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker. Kilkenny was committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000.00 cash bail.
