West Penn Township Police Arrest Tamaqua Man Wanted in Northampton County
On Sunday, West Penn Township Police stopped a vehicle after getting an expired plate alert from the LPR (license plate recognition) system.
A computer check showed that not only was the registration expired, but the driver was driving under suspension and had an outstanding warrant from Northampton County since March of last year.
The driver, Donald L Shannon, 49, of Tamaqua was taken into custody and lodged in the Schuylkill County Prison awaiting transport back to Northampton County.

Shenandoah Man Charged with Harrassment
According to Shenandoah Police, on March 20, 2019 around 2:10pm, a Frackville woman reported that she was speaking with a family member in front of M&T Bank at 2 S Main St when the discussion escalated. Joseph Burke, 63, of Shenandoah, stepped toward her and pushed her.
Burke left the area on foot. Burke was charged with harassment.

Citation Filed Against Man for Public Drunkeness
On March 21, 2019, aroun 2:00pm – A Shenandoah Police Officer on patrol found a male lying in public on South Market street, sleeping.
After waking the male, police discovered him to be highly intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol.
The male was identified as Onix Reyes, 23, of Shenandoah.
A citation charging Reyes with public drunkenness was filed with Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker.

Man Facing Harrassment Charges
According to Shenandoah Police, on March 22, 2019 around 2:2pm, police were dispatched to 100 Block of East Centre St for a domestic disturbance.
Mathew Mabus, 27, of Shenandoah, had been arguing with his girlfriend when he grabbed and pushed her. He then broke her cell phone by throwing it on the floor.
