The Pennsylvania Game Commission has scheduled a Controlled burn near Frackville and St. Clair on Wednesday in Blythe Township.According to Curtis Noll, Forester PA Game Commission, the Commission will be conducting a 247-acre Prescribed Fire (aka Controlled Burn) on State Game Lands 326 in Blythe Township, Schuylkill County on Wednesday, May 22nd.
The burn is being conducted to maintain the fire dependent oak barrens that are found on SGL 326. Smoke may be visible while traveling on I-81 and Route 61 near the boroughs of St. Clair and Frackville between the hours of 10:00am and 7:00pm.
The PA Commission makes this announcement in hopes of reducing called to the 911 Communication Center.
