According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hamburg, on Sunday, May 26, 2019, around 9:10pm, troopers responded to a report of a lost/missing hiker on the Tom Lowe Loop hiking trail, located at North Northkill Road and Forge Dam Road, in Upper Bern Township, Berks County.
Police say family members at the scene reported that Beth Ann Oneill, 52, of Leesport, arrived at the entrance to the trail about 3:00pm. The last contact made with Oneill was a cell phone called around 6:15pm, when she called to say she had become lost.
A large search team was put together including assistance from multiple police agencies, as well as Canine and aviation search teams.
Oneill is described as, 52 years old, 5' 7" tall, thin build, short brown hair. She should also be travelling with a dog that is a tan Golden-Doodle.
