Donald R. Muldowney, 84 of Pottsville, died Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill.

He was born June 13, 1934 in Pottsville a son of the late William L. and Mildred Bentz Muldowney.

He was a 1954 graduate of Pottsville High School.

He was an Veteran having served in the Army

Prior to retiring he was employed by Package Corporation of America, Trexlertown.

Donald was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minersville.

Thorough out his life Donald loved all animals especially dogs.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William J.Muldowney. Surviving are a sister, Shirley Morgan, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 9:30AM Monday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville with SALM Regnal Leibensperger officiating. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 8:30am until the time of services. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Hillside SPCA PO Box 233, Pottsville PA, 17901. Interment with military honors will be held at Mount Peace Cemetery, Minersville.

Colleen M. Ingalzo, 69, of Pine Grove, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill – East.

Born in Pottsville on November 3, 1949, she was the daughter of Mary Andresky Lehman, Pine Grove and the late Harold “Henny” Lehman. Colleen was married to her loving husband, John “Jack” Peter Ingalzo, formerly from Pottsville, on May 29, 1971 at St. Patrick Church, Pottsville, with Monsignor James Treston and Reverend Robert Kehrli co-officiating.

A voracious reader, Colleen graduated from Pine Grove Area High School in 1967 and Kutztown University in 1971. A German teacher, she began her career at Mahanoy Area School District. Colleen then taught at Schuylkill Haven High School, from 1981-2010, which is when she retired. Colleen planned, conducted, and chaperoned over twenty student tours of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and is remembered for the affectionate and loving care of her students and the admiration of her fun-loving, dedicated colleagues. She loved to travel, watch her broadcasted Phillies’ games and classic television reruns. Besides being kind and smart, Colleen was funny. Her humor often lightened dark moments.

Colleen was a life-long member of Jacob’s Lutheran Church, Pine Grove; the Liederkranz German Country Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, PSEA, and NEA. As a young clarinetist, she played first chair, first seat, both in the Pine Grove Area High School and the Pine Grove Community Band.

Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, are her sister, Donna Lehman Reilly and her husband, Michael Reilly; her brother, Harold George Lehman; her niece, Carrie R. Lauer and husband David Lauer; her nephews, Bret Lehman Reilly and Lloyd “Bud” Schroeder; aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also mourning Colleen’s death is her precious Rottweiler, Emma.

Funeral services will be held at Jacob’s Lutheran Church, 318 Suedberg Road, Pine Grove, PA, on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 3:30 P.M., with the Rev. Barry Spatz officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Albert “Buddy” Besparis III, 60, of Shenandoah, passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in Yatesville on April 21, 1959, he was a son of the late Albert Besparis Jr. and Lois (Wychulis) Besparis.

He was educated in the Mahanoy Area schools.

Buddy was a self-employed painter and carpenter.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were one brother, Michael Besparis; and one nephew, Ryan Besparis.

Surviving are two daughters, Shannon and Amanda; one brother, Robert Besparis, of Shenandoah; three sisters, Venus Bindie, of Shenandoah, Mary Jo Chatcavage, of Shenandoah Heights, and Valerie Reinmiller and her husband, David, of Shenandoah; nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.

Religious services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah. The Rev. Mindy Heppe will officiate. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Donations to help defray funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, Shenandoah, is in charge of the arrangements.
