Erica L. Hettler of Jonestown Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly from complications due to childbirth at Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon on Moday May 20, 2019 at the age of 34.

Born in Coaldale she is survived by; mother, Joyce A. Hettler and her companion Glenn Rothermel of Hamburg; father, Clifford C. Hettler and his companion Susan Garrett of Brockton; companion of 12 years, Steven M. Tentylo; children, Roman C. Tentyo who is 4&1/2 and Lennox A. Tentylo who is three days old; sister, Carla Yerance and her husband Michael of Rockland Twp.; niece, Emma and nephew, Gavin.

A 2003 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Erica matriculated to Misericordia University in Dallas earning her B.S. in Medical Imaging and her Master's in Organizational Management. Erica has worked at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania for twelve years.

Erica was a devoted, loving mother, daughter, companion, sister and aunt. Her loss is devastating to her family and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday evening May 24, 2019 at 7 o'clock P.M. from the funeral home. Friends may call from 5 to 7:00 P.M.

Robert W. Heisler, Jr., 72, passed away Friday, May 17th, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born in Pottsville, PA on March 19, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert W. Heisler, Sr., & Blanche B. (Peiffer) Heisler.

Bobby worked at Embreeville State Hospital in the kitchen, and most recently Handi Crafters.

He enjoyed watching football.Bobby's favorite team was the Cowboys.

He is survived by his sister, Ann Elizabeth Weiner, and niece, Joann Harison.He is also survived by his adopted family members who loved him dearly; adopted parents, Waddell T. & Cheryl A. Tucker, Thorndale, adopted sister, Cathy Reyes & family, Coatesville, his favorite hair dresser, Corrine, & dog, Cocoa.

Bobby was a wonderful person & touched the lives of so many.He had many friends who loved him and will be missed but never forgot him.We love you always and forever.Rest in peace Bobby, until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted on May 28th at 11 a.m. at The Tabernacle Baptist Church, 819 Coates St., Coatesville, PA 19320.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church.

Interment will be privately held.

Albert J. Kessler, 72, of Zion Grove, passed away Saturday, May 18th, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital , Cedar Crest campus in Allentown.

Al was born in Ashland, on February 10, 1947, a son of the late Helen (Salada) and Albert Kessler.

He was an independent business owner, having several interests in the greater Philadelphia and New Jersey areas.

The last member of his immediate family, he is survived by his cousin Alyssa, wife of Dr. George Kuzma, of Zion Grove.

In accordance with Al's wishes, all services will be held privately.

Michael P. Matthews, age 65, of Mahanoy City, passed away Monday at his home. 

Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was the son of the late Thomas F. & Stephanie T. (Chickanavage) Matthews. He was a 1971 graduate of Mahanoy Area High School as well as the Steven's Trade School. 

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a brother Paul in 1989. Survivors include 2 brother Thomas of Mahanoy City and Kevin of Las Vegas, a sister Nancy Karstens and her husband Robert of Philadelphia and 4 nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral on Friday morning at 9:30 AM from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home of Mahanoy City. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher at 10 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. 

Interment will follow in St. Casimirs Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning beginning at 8 AM .

Joseph Cadau, 63, of Pottsville and formerly of Shenandoah, passed away on Sunday, May 19th at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, Allentown, Pa. Born in Shenandoah on April 7th, 1956 to the late Joseph and Mary “Tancredi” Cadau, following in his father’s footsteps, Joey was an accomplished musician as well, playing the trumpet and tuba. He was a 1974 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School where he was a member of the band. He then also played in many marching bands throughout the tri-county area.

He was the owner of Guiseppe’s Bar, Shenandoah where patrons gathered for a good time. He also worked at the former Dana Perfume factory in Mountain Top, Pa where he made many cherished friends. Joey was a man so full of life and happiness that he’d let nothing get in the way of a good time. He was always smiling despite his medical setbacks. The world will be a little less funny without him.

He leaves behind his loving and devoted girlfriend of 19 years, Janet Black of Pottsville. Joey and Janet loved traveling together and enjoyed their time on cruises, going to festivals, and visiting casinos. In addition to Janet, surviving is a sister, Roseann Cadau of Harrisburg, his Godmother and last surviving maternal aunt, Theresa Matino of Shenandoah, also his best friend throughout his life since kindergarten, Edward Hayes of Hazleton whose visits Joey really enjoyed, and several cousins.

Scripture services will be held on Thursday, May 23rd at 6:30pm at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc., 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah with Msgr. Ronald Bocian officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday evening from 5 to 8pm at the funeral home. Interment will held at the convenience of the family in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights at a later date.

Contributions in Joey’s memory can be made to the Shenandoah Valley High School Band.
