Joseph J. Anthony, 91, Frackville, passed away peacefully Thursday at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, with his family at his side.
Born in Frackville, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary T. Gastin Anthony. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville.
Joe was a co-owner of the former Anthony’s Super Market in Frackville. He was a member of the Tony Karpee Band, the Cressona Marching Band and the Cressona Jazz Band. Joe enjoyed spending his time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren at the beach.
He was preceded in death by a brother Arthur Anthony.
Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years June Weikel Anthony, his daughter Joanne wife of Anthony J. Brophy, Frackville, his son John and his wife Linda Anthony, Harrisburg, grandchildren; Anthony P. and his wife Deborah Brophy, Hillsborough, NJ, Brandon J. Anthony, New York City, Ashley M. wife of Brent Borzak, Frackville, Jillian M. wife of Kyle Fera, New Columbia, PA, great-grandchildren; Paige Brophy, Joseph Brophy and very soon to be baby Weston Fera, three brothers; Michael, Paul “Ace” and Louis Anthony, his sister Helen Ferris and by several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 49 N. Line Street Frackville, with Rev. Brian Miller, pastor as the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Englewood, Frackville. A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening at St. Ann’s Church from 4 until 7 p.m.

Mildred Panikarchuck, 87, Frackville, passed away peacefully early Friday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Dameter Wilinski. Millie worked as a trimmer for the former Charles Rabin Garment Factory in Frackville until her retirement.
Millie was a member of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville, and was also very active in the Frackville Area Senior Citizens and the Frackville Elks BPOE 1533.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Allen Panikarchuck in 1980; her sister, Eva Homa; her brothers: Michael, John, George and Walter Wilinski.
Millie is survived by her sister Rose Kolos, Frackville and nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday May 28th from St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Petro Zvarych, pastor as the celebrant. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville on Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. A Panakyda service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery, Englewood, Frackville.

Rose Mary Sullivan, 85, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Sunday, May 19th, at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah.
Rose Mary was born in Shenandoah, PA on November 17, 1933, a daughter of the late Laura (Ewasko) and Felix Wascavage.
She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City, PA 17948.
Rose Mary had worked as a registered nurse.
She was wife of the late John Sullivan.
Rose Mary is survived by a daughter, Michele Furdina, of Shillington; a son, Michael Sullivan, of Harrisburg; a brother, Edward Wascavage, of Frackville, also survived by 2 Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son John Jr. and a sister Phyllis Cickavage

Fran Fatkin, 87 formerly of Orwigsburg, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister went to heaven on May 19,2019 at 7:14pm with her daughters, Diane and Cindy by her side
Born June 28, 1931 she was the daughter of the late George Klein and Marie Walsh.
Fran was known as the Cookie Lady in Lake Alfred, FL where she resided with her husband Ernie for the last 25 years. Originally from St. Clair, Fran has always been known for her generosity and selfless attitude. Fran was one of the most positive loving people in this world and loved by those who knew her.
Fran was formerly a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven.
In addition to her parents Fran is predeceased by her beloved son Ernest A. Fatkin, Jr.
Fran is survived by the love of her life, husband Ernest Fatkin, daughter Diane Fatkin, daughter Cindy & son in law Greg Gelting, Grandchildren Cory Gelting & Gregory Gelting and Great Grandchildren Chase, Parker and Emmery and sisters Marie Fox and Ann Stutz. She loved her children equally and was thrilled for the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2019, at 11AM at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 12:00 Noon with Monsignor Zemanik officiating. Fran will be laid to rest in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven to be with her beloved son, Ernie Jr.

Jennifer A. Hummel Kruies, 39, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Forestville, Cass Township, passed away on Saturday at UPMC McKeesport.
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of Marlene Mabry Harris, Forestville, and the late Russell Hummel, Jr. She attended Minersville schools and studied cosmetology at the Schuylkill Technology Center - South Campus. She worked as a waitress in several restaurants, both in Schuylkill County and in Pittsburgh.
In addition to her mother, Jenn is survived by her husband, Cody Kruies, York; her partner and close friend, Andrea Goff, Hamburg, New York; her stepfather, Michael Harris, Ashland; seven siblings, Anna Heffner, Pottsville, Catherine Sausser (spouse Michael), Friedensburg, Russell Hummel (spouse, Carol), Minersville, Kathleen Roshannon (spouse, John), Minersville, Pamela Maley, Pottsville, Michele Barr (spouse, Shawn), Minersville, and Angie Mazurkevich (spouse, Tony), Mount Carmel; nieces and nephews.
