Christy Lou McGowan, age 63, of Port Carbon, PA passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 23rd, 2019 at her home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on November 15, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Tony Deramo and the late Charles Briest.
Christy was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School, Class of 1973 and then went on to graduate from the Ford Business School in Pottsville. She worked at the Miners National Bank and the M&T Bank in Pottsville.
Christy was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Port Carbon and enjoyed going yardsaling and spending time with her grandchildren..
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Chad Briest.
Christy is survived by a son Billy McGowan and his wife Ann, Port Carbon; a daughter Marcy Kleckner, Orwigsburg; four grandchildren: Billy, Brenna, Vernon and Kallie; three sisters: Sue Bennett and her longtime companion Don McGovern, Pottsville, Jane Wolfe and her husband Mike, Palo Alto, and Angie Briest, Williamsport; and nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike Street, Port Carbon at 7PM on Tuesday, May 28th, with Pastor Chris Rotharpt officiating.
Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday evening from 5-7PM at the Funeral Home.
Interment will be held private.

Christine M. Harner, 66, of Pottsville, passed away suddenly Saturday at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

Born in Lykens, June 22, 1952, a daughter of the late Roland and Dorothy Laing Fetterhoff.

Chris attended Porter Tower High School. She was a customer service manager at Walmart, St. Clair, before becoming ill.

Chris will be remembered for enjoying the simple things in life. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a fan of Elvis Presley.

She is survived by her husband Arnold E. Harner, four children; Angela L. Vidal (Clarence), Pottsville; Gayle M. Bowman, Muir, Bernard G. Bowman III, Pottsville and Aaron A. Bowman (Linda), Pottsville; a step-son, Arnold Harner Jr., Newport; one brother, Rodney Fetterhoff (Carol), Tower City; two sisters, Sandy Bender (Bruce) and Terriann Fetterhoff both of Muir. 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren Nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Chris' life will be held on Saturday, June 1st at 11 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City. Visitation will be from 10-11 at the chapel. To sign the guestbook visit www.dimonfuneralhome.com

Cathy Ann Zerbe, 57, of Valley View, passed away Sunday, May 26th at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Pottsville, June 27, 1961, a daughter of Carolyn Bloch Harris, Gordon and the late Harry Harris

She was a 1979 graduate of North Schuylkill High School.

Cathy was a supervisor at Thomas James Company, Ashland.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved camping, especially in Benezette, Elk county.

Surviving in addition to her mother; are her husband Carl D. Zerbe; one son, Adam Zerbe (Heather), Valley View and Lori Zerbe (companion Brandon Moyer) Valley View; four grandchildren Lydianna, Brylan and Bryce Zerbe; Brielle Moyer; five brothers, Keith Harris (Cindy), Mollystown; Jerry Harris (Mel), Ashland; Mark Harris (companion Tracy), Lavelle; Bill Harris (Tammy), Hegins and Tim Harris, Shamokin; two sisters Robin Hubler (companion Joe), Gordon and Ruthann Imhof (Burce), Erdman. Nieces and nephews.

Following Cathy's wishes there will be no services. Memorial donations in Cathy's name should be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg PA 17110.
