Charles E. Holley, age 88, of Seltzer, PA passed away Sunday, May 26th, 2019 at his long time companion Rosemary's home in Pottsville.

Born in Minersville, PA on January 11, 1931, he was the son of the late John “Jack” and Mary (Pekarik) Holley.

Charlie was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1948. He first worked for Metropolitan Mirror in Frackville and then in maintenance for the Pottsville Area School District. He served in the U.S. Army on the Germany-Russia border from 1951 till 1954.

Charlie was a member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville, a member of the Minersville American Legion, and the Seltzer Gun Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved raising pigeons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Jean M. (Pilkus) Holley on March 7, 1998, a son Charles J. Holley, a sister Barbara Pilkus, and a great-grandson.

Charlie is survived by a son John “Jeff” Holley and his wife Kathy, Mill Creek; a daughter Denise Frantz and Mike Frantz, Pottsville; twelve grandchildren: Brooke Rosenberger, his devoted caregiver, Theresa, Jarrod, Catherine, Hollyann, Ariel, Mary, Bryant, Charles, Caitlyn, Breanna, and Jason; 19 great-grandchildren; loving companion Rosemary Cairns, Pottsville; two brothers: David Holley, Schuylkill Haven and Greg Holley, Harrisburg; a sister Valerie Starrett, Delaware; fur baby Maggie and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, PA. at 10AM on Friday, May 31st, .

Relatives and Friends are invited to a viewing Thursday evening from 6-8PM and Friday morning from 8:30-9:30AM at Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home, 208 Pike St. Port Carbon.

Interment with Military Honors Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery Pottsville, PA.

Robert F Scheib, age 86, of Hegins, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born on Tuesday, November 1, 1932, in Gratz, a son of the late Lester Scheib and the late Margaret Troutman Scheib.

Robert was a self employed farmer.

He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ, Fountain.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Betty A Scheib; and two brothers Clarence Scheib and Donald Scheib.

He is survived by two daughters, Cindy L Bloch and Debra S Conrad both of Hegins; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

As per Robert's request there will be no services.

Mary Margaret Benson, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, of Spruce Street Tamaqua passed away peacefully on Sunday May 26, 2019 at home while in the loving care of her family at the age of 69 yrs.

Survived by; her beloved husband of thirty-eight years, Woodrow E. Benson; son, Joshua M. Benson and his wife Jeanine of Tamaqua; grandchildren whom she adored, Jayden, Juliana, Jacob; sisters, Joan Heckman and her husband David, Elizabeth Bowman both of Berks Count, Susan Harner of Tamaqua; brother, Edward Miller and his wife Charlene of Oregon City, Oregon. Many nieces and nephews also survive her.

Born in Middleport the daughter of the late Edward, and Susan (Shapella) Miller. She was also predeceased by sisters, Marie Major, Margie Linebar, and Sally Nelson; brother, John Dombrosky.

Catholic by faith, Mary worked in the dietary dept. of Pottsville Hospital for forty plus years. A good cook her talents where centered towards taking care of her family. She will be missed by many.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday June 1, 2019 at 10 o'clock A.M. from the funeral home.

Geraldine A. “Gerry” Sincavage, 63, of Shenandoah Village Apartments, Coal Street, Shenandoah, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening at her residence.

Born in Shenandoah, June 27, 1955, she was a daughter of the late Albert Mulkusky and Elizabeth “Betty” (McGauley) Lewandowski.

She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, formerly St. Stephen’s Church. Gerry enjoyed her many trips to the casino, but above all, she treasured the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were very special to her.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her stepfather, Alfred “Al” Lewandowski; two brothers, James S. Mulkusky and Albert Mulkusky.

Surviving are two daughters, Jolene Dombrowski and her husband, Stan, of Ringtown, and Nadine Myers and her husband, Todd, of Dornsife; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Michalik and her husband, Joseph, of Clearwater, Fla., and Donna Lambert, of Pottsville; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Casimir’s Church, the sacred worship site of Divine Mercy Parish, 229 N. Jardin St., Shenandoah, with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held from 8 until 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah.
