Late Thursday, a home that was listed as blight collapsed in Shenandoah.
Around 7:15pm, Thursday, emergency personnel were called to a structural collapse on South Grant Street, Shenandoah.
The structure, which included 3 homes with the addresses of 23, 25, and 27, was already on the brink of collapse when one of the side walls had been bowing.
When the structure collapsed, the front of the home fell to the street with the weight of the roof pushing the rest down.
According to Joseph Shoup, code enforcement for Shenandoah, said that the home was on the blight list for the borough.
According to the Schuylkill County Parcel Locator, 23 is registered to be owned by Edward Wilcosky, 25 is registered to be owned by Joseph Shane, and 27 are registered to be owned by Harry Mohnsire Jr.
As of Friday morning, a decision had not been made on the next steps of the cleanup.
No injuries were reported. South Grant Street will be closed until further notice.
