On Saturday, the Gordon Fire Department welcomed a new fire truck to the borough.On Saturday afternoon, the borough held a parade to welcome their new of their 1990 KME Truck.
About a dozen trucks participated in the parade around the borough and finished at the Citizen's Fire Company. Trucks were judged in five categories and winners were announced at a reception afterwards
Best KME - Coaldale
Tanker - Fountain Springs
Judges Award - Locust Gap
Best Engine - Cressona
Overall - Columbia, Shenandoah
Prior to the reception, members dedicated the new truck and as tradition, pushed the truck into the firehouse bay.
