Michael J. Zahodnick Sr., 73, of Deep Creek Rd., Ashland passed into eternal rest Thursday, June 20, 2019 at home from heart complications.
Born in Ashland on September 16, 1945 the son of the late Richard and Olga (Rudeman) Zahodnick.
Michael was raised in Rappahannock and went to school at Butler Twp. The family moved to Union, NJ where he and his brother owned a gas station. Later he worked for Thornton Steel Ring and was a self-employed contractor. Moving back to PA in the 80’s, he continued to work his contracting business.
He loved going to his grandchildren’s sporting events, golfing, and going to car shows with his wife of 24 ½ years, Bev.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by a brother John and sister Theresa. Aunts and uncles.
In addition to his wife Bev (Ossman) Zahodnick, he also is survived by his first wife: Barbara. Three sons: Michael and wife Rita of Gordon; Richard and wife Nicole of Girardville; and Jason and companion Charlene of Frackville. Grandchildren: Arielle, Cheyenne, Richie, Taylor, Mikey, Seth, and Cole. Brothers: Steve and wife Roseann; and George. Nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland with Rev. Dana Heckman-Beil officiating. Viewing 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, June 24 and 9:00-11:00 AM Tuesday, June 25 both at the funeral home.
Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home Inc., Ashland is in charge of the arrangements.

Elizabeth K. "Betty" Kurpell, age 88, of Mahanoy City, died Thursday morning at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation in Frackville. 

Born in Weatherly she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth (Welding) Toth. 

 She is survived by 3 sons David of Tamaqua, Walter and his wife Regina of Virginia and Ken and his wife Patricia of Frackville, 2 grand children Stephen and Walter and a great grandchild Quinn. 

Service will be private.

James E. Lymaster, Sr., 81, of Rehoboth Beach, DE., formerly of Lebanon passed away Wednesday, June 19th at his home.

Born in Lebanon, November 7, 1937, a son of the late Edward F. and Minnie A. Fox Lymaster.

Jim was a retired self-employed Brick Layer/Mason.

He was an avid fisherman and loved his dog Queenie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, James Lymaster, Jr.; two brothers, Frank and Tim Lymaster; two sisters Beat Wolfe and Diane Heilman.

Surviving are two daughters, Michelle L. Lymaster-Richards and her husband David, Rehoboth DE and Denise M. Lymaster-Keim, Tower City; three sisters, Millie Hoke and her husband Fred, Lucy Mace and her husband Charles Sr. and Linda Lymaster; one brother Jerry Lymaster all of Lebanon. Five grandchildren; Michael Hacunda, Heather Speck, Tylor Keim, Zachary Keim and Rachel Speck. Three great grandchildren, GageRyan Trumbo; Micahel Hacunda, Jr. and Beau Speck.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 28th at 11 am from Grandview Memorial Park, Lebanon with Chaplain Doug Etters. A luncheon and time of fellowship will follow at the Perse Club, 22 S. King Street, Jonestown, PA 17038.
