He was born on Friday, December 12, 1924, in Hegins, a son of the late Elvin Klouser and the late Tillie Troup Klouser.
He was a graduate of the former Hegins Twp High School,
He served in the US Army during World War II throughout Europe.
Leroy retired from American Cyanamid -Lederlee Laboratories, Bound Brook NJ in 1987.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bound Brook NJ.
Leroy was one of the founding members of the SBB-Somerset Little League in 1958. He enjoyed working outside in his vegetable garden. He was an avid New York Yankee and New York Giants fan. He enjoyed watching "old" wartime movies. Leroy enjoyed taking vacations to Nashville's Grand Ole Opry and Dollywood. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and playing with his grandchildren, especially at holiday time. In his later years, he always looked forward to taking trips back to the Hegins Valley area twice a year.
His wife of 70 years, Shirley L Kimmel Klouser, passed away November 30, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William Klouser and Roger Klouser; and a sister, Hilda Welde.
He is survived by two sons, Leroy Klouser, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Gouldsboro, and Kenneth Klouser, Sr and his wife Nora Ann of Forked River, NJ; a daughter, Barbara Pecht of South Bound Brook, NJ; six grandchildren, Lisa Martino and her husband John, Jonathan Klouser, Matthew Pecht and his wife Alyssa, Meghan Klouser and her fiance Eric Gossenberger, Kenneth Klouser, Jr and his girlfriend Kyrsten Churchwell, and Jennifer Losey and her husband Robert; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Church of God Cemetery, Valley View.

James Richmond, 85, of Tamanend, formerly of Park Place, passed away Monday, June 24th, peacefully, at his residence. Jim was born in Park Place, PA on March 15, 1934, a son of the late Ruth (Davis) and David Richmond.
Jim was a 1952 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School and attended McCann School of Business. He served in the U.S. Army, owned Richmond’s Grocery and was a Project Engineer Supervisor for Penn Dot.
He was an active member of his community, serving in many roles at the First United Methodist Church, Mahanoy City; the Washington Hook and Ladder, Mahanoy City; Mahanoy City Fire Relief Association, Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 357, Mahanoy City and the Caldwell Consistory Valley of Bloomsburg. Jim was also a member of the Mahanoy Township 150 Club and the Mahanoy Township Planning Commission. He was an avid fan of Duke basketball, The Philadelphia Eagles and Mahanoy Area sports.
Jim was the husband of Helene (Stief) Richmond.
James is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Piacenti, McAdoo; Christine wife of Andrew Hower, Leola. Two sons William, husband of Holly, Still Creek; James Jr., husband of Grace, Hillsborough NC. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and by his nieces and nephews.
James is preceded in death by brothers Jack, and David and a sister Ruth Fegley.
A Religious Service will be held Friday 11am at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, PA. Pastor Brett Hower will be officiating.
Friends and family may call Thursday 6 to 8 pm and Friday 9 am at the funeral home.
Interment will be at the UCC White Church Cemetery.

Tony Donofrio Jr., 68, of Farm View Rd., Schuylkill Haven, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at home.
Born on October 9, 1950 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Tony Sr. and Lucille Hoy Donofrio.
He was a 1968 graduate of Pine Grove High School.
Tony was a Coal Miner and a Mine Foreman for Lackawanna Coal Mine Tours.
He was a member of Hetzel's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Richard Donofrio and a sister, Betty Dishler.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Ruth Ann Mumma Donofrio; daughter, Toni and husband Dan Neilan of Kingston; grandson, Antonio Sanderson; brother, Bobby and wife Gladys Donofrio of Pine Grove.

Following the viewing at 11:00 A.M., there will be a procession to the Schuylkill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 347 Sweet Arrow Lake Rd., Pine Grove, for a Graveside Services with Pastor Jill Bierwirth officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Hetzel's Lutheran Church, 261 Hetzel's Church Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.
