Two people were sent to the hospital after a crash late Tuesday in Butler Township.
Around 11:30pm, emergency personnel were dispatched to Big Mine Run Road in the area of the Schuylkill/Columbia County line for a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
Butler Township Police are still investigating the crash, but said that the crash occurred as a male and female were travelling towards Centralia on Big Mine Run Road when they lost control, struck a utility pole and rolled the vehicle onto it's side.
The male and female in the vehicle both were taken to an area hospital for their injuries.
Responding to the scene were Butler Township Police, Fountain Springs Fire, Washington Rescue, and 2 Washington Ambulances. Lavelle Fire also responded and handled traffic control while the road was closed.
A&F Towing also assisted.
