Electronic and Metal Recycling Day Scheduled for Northern Schuylkill County Communities

The Northern Schuylkill Council of Governments, in conjunction with the Boroughs of Ashland, Girardville, Gordon, Mahanoy City, Shenandoah and the Townships of Butler, Delano, Mahanoy, Ryan, Schuylkill and West Mahanoy, will host an Electronic & Metal Recycling Day on Saturday,
July 20, 2019.

The event will be held, rain or shine, from 8AM to 1PM at the Skytop Coal Company,
547 Morea Road, Mahanoy City.

“We wanted to give our residents the opportunity to dispose of electronic items in a safe, legal manner,” noted NSCOG Chairman Champ Holman, “It’s become increasingly difficult to dispose of some items, television in particular, so this will be a great opportunity for people to get rid of many types of unwanted items for a nominal fee.”
