On Saturday, Mahanoy City held it's annual Community Day which highlighted the borough's businesses and organizations.
Those participating included local organizations such as the borough's fire departments, public library, athletic club, and churches.
School organizations were also on-hand to promote their clubs and help those looking to sign up for the upcoming school year.
The event also allowed businesses like the Village Inn Restaurant to open their doors and find new customers.
Fun activities were also available such as a bounce house and a dunk tank. Borough Council President Thom Maziekas was the first dunkee of the day.
When Maziekas had talked about the event previously, he said "Mahanoy City is open for business!".
