Police Take Armed Man into Custody After Domestic Incident in Mahanoy City

A man is in custody after an incident in Mahanoy City late Monday afternoon.

According to Mahanoy City Police, around 5:00pm, Monday, Mahanoy City Police responded to a domestic incident with armed subject.

The man fled in vehicle and was stopped at Main and Center by incoming backup units from outside communities. 

The unidentified male was taken into custody. 

One other person was evaluated by local EMS but refused transport. As of late Monday, Mahanoy City Police were still investigating the incident.

Charges are expected to be filed late Monday.
