Schuylkill Technology Center hosted a Graduation Ceremony on Monday, July 1, 2019 at the Frackville Campus for adult students who successfully completed the Practical Nursing Program.
Over 300 family and friends were in attendance at the ceremony, where 21 students crossed the stage to accept their diplomas. The following students received awards during the ceremony: La Rae Savidge received the Doreen Arndt Geriatric Award, Christina Baynum received the Gloria Ellinger Memorial Award, Catherine Hamilton received the Martha Malinchock Memorial Award, Jenna Tucker received the Retired Nurses of Schuylkill County Award, and Gladys Mae Riddick received the STC Highest Average Award.
The Practical Nursing Program is a 1545 hour program that prepares students to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nursing (NCLEX-PN). Students gain both theory and clinical experience through established relationships with sixteen partner organizations. Day classes are offered in both a 1year full time or 1 ½ year part-time schedule to accommodate working individuals.
