The victim of a crash on Route 443 in Wayne Township has been identified.
Just after 6:00am, emergency personnel were dispatched to 912 Long Run Road (Route 443), Wayne Township, near Pine Grove for a motor vehicle accident with heavy entrapment.
The crash reportedly involved a garbage truck and vehicle with two people entrapped.
The two people that were entrapped have been identified as Joseph Kopinetz, 48, the driver, and Robert Schaeffer, 63, was the passenger.
Police say their vehicle ran into the back of the garbage truck which was parked along Route 443.
Kopinetz was transported via helicopter to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Schaeffer was pronounced dead at the scene by a Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner.
