Beer, Ethnic Food, Music and More Planned for 2nd Annual "Pottsville on Tap"

The "Pottsville on Tap" festival will be returning in September in Pottsville.

This annual festival is presented by the Continued Progress Project. The day-long event will feature a Yuengling beer garden, ethnic foods, music, a special tour of the Yuengling Brewery, local crafts people, and activities.

“Pottsville On Tap was a huge success last year and we are excited for another very successful event.” said PADCO Executive Director, Savas Logothetides. “We just hosted the Yuengling 190th celebration a few weeks ago where around 10,000 people came to celebrate.”

There were approximately 25 vendors last year and over 3,000 visitors. Many of the local businesses in the downtown area will be open for visitors.

Joseph Drasdis III, vendor coordinator for the Continued Progress Project events, said, “We have so many great, local vendors who participated in Pottsville on Tap last year, and have continued to be a part of events in Pottsville since then. We’re excited to have them back, and to bring in new vendors as well!”

Once again, there will be a trolley running through the streets, between downtown Pottsville, the Yuengling Brewery gift shop, and available parking.

One of the biggest attractions of Pottsville On Tap last year was the pierogi eating contest. This year, the winner of the contest, Thomas Campion, will be returning to defend his reign. Interested contest participants, vendors, and volunteers can find more information at www.downtownpottsville.com/events.

Ongoing updates will be announced on the Downtown Pottsville and Pottsville on Tap Facebook pages.

The event will take place September 21, 2019, 12:00pm – 6:00pm, on Centre Street in downtown Pottsville.
