On Friday night, the annual rivalry continued when Mount Carmel visited North Schuylkill.
Both teams were evenly matched based off their record as they each entered with three wins and 1 loss for the season. The scoring was expected to be low with both teams having strong defenses.
The first half the game was all Mount Carmel. North Schuylkill had trouble finding their rhythm and by half time the tornadoes were up 17-7.
North Schuylkill Head Coach must of gave one hell of a pep talk because half time did the Spartans a lot of good.
The Spartans left the Tornadoes scoreless for the entire second half including a safety.
By the end of the night, the Spartans went home the winners with a score of 29-17.
