A man was flown to an area hospital Saturday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Ashland.
Just before 7:30am, Saturday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Memorial Boulevard and Centre Street for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
Ashland Police along with Washington Ambulance responded to the scene and found a 70 year old man that had been struck by a pick up truck. The driver of the truck stopped immediately and remained at the scene.
The extent of the victim's injuries are not known but the man was flown by Life Flight from nearby Memorial Field. American Hose Company handled the landing zone with Ashland Fire Police handling traffic control.
