Carol (Bradbury) Leffler, 85, of Pottsville passed away Sunday, September 22, 2019 at The Gardens at York Terrace, Pottsville.
She was born August 28, 1934, in Tremont, she was the daughter of the late George and Jenny (Phillips) Bradbury.
She was a graduate of Pottsville High School and was a bank teller at the former Meridian Bank and customer service and Alstons Hallmark Card Store
Carol was a former member of First United Methodist Church, Pottsville. She enjoyed family vacations to the beach, gardening, Schuylkill Symphony Orchestra, and family reunions at Knoebels Grove.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John P. “Jack” Leffler, two sons, first baby John II, and Jonnie; and two sisters, Jean Grace, and Shirley Bradbury.
She is survived by daughter, April Leffler, Prospect Park; two sons, Peter and his wife Cathy Leffler, Wescosville, and Gregory and his wife Ellen Leffler, Pottsville; two grandchildren, Chris Leffler husband of Melissa, Allentown, and Emily Leffler, Wescosville; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Carter Leffler.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 27 at 12:30 p.m. from Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends may call at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Leona M. Steficek, 95, formerly of Branchdale, passed away Saturday morning at Providence Place, Pottsville.
Born in Branchdale she was a daughter of the late John and Susan Pothering Kanaval.
She was educated in the Reilly Twp. Schools. She worked in the local garment industry as a presser at the former Jackson Sportswear in Primrose and the Honeybee factory in Branchdale.
She was a member of the former St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Branchdale and was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. She was also a member of the former Reilly Twp Leisure Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Elizabeth Lapicky and Barbara Stablum; a brother John Kanaval Jr.; and a grandson, Captain David Boris.
She is survived by 2 sons, Joseph D. Steficek and Ronald M. Steficek: 3 daughters, Theresa Darlene Pellish-Fessler, Diana J. Boris and Suzette A. Joy; a sister, Georgine Doran; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St. Minersville. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday morning from 8AM to 10AM at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville.
Interment will be in St. Mary Star of the Sea Cemetery, Llewellyn.

John M. “Chip” Nush, 47, of Minersville passed away unexpectedly Friday at his home.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of Alana Botek Nush and the late John C. Nush.
He was a 1990 graduate of Minersville High School. He was a member of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church, Minersville. He was a self employed Landscaper and was a member of the Steelworkers Union. He was a certified scuba instructor and was a member of the PADI Diving Society.
Chip’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his niece, nephew and beloved dog and flying his kites on a windy day.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister Laurie Nush; a niece, Spencer Nush; a nephew Tryston Nush; a stepson Brandon Radiewicz; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM from the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 PM. and on Wednesday morning from 8AM until the time of the service. Private internment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Francis Cemetery, MInersville. It is with great sadness that we announce that Margaret (Margie) Midas, beloved mother and grandmother passed away on September 22, 2019 at the age of 93.
Widow of Clement T. Midas she is survived by: daughter Nikki Leonzi wife of Richard; sons, Clement Midas and wife Teresa; David Midas and wife Patricia; grandchildren Jeffrey and Jennifer Leonzi, Kristin Sommers and husband David, Michele Lee Midas Miller and husband Ian, and Shaun Midas; great grandchildren Ryan and Madison Sommers, Gunnar, Hodge and Kade Midas.
Born in Lansford she is the daughter of the late Lewis and Anna (Kocha) Hager. She was predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Hager, Anna Hollan, and brothers Louis, Joseph, Edward, Michael, Charles, John, Thomas and Robert Hager; grandsons Clement Michael Midas and David Edward Midas.
A graduate of St. Michaels R.C.C., Margie retired from Western Electric in Allentown. She was a devoted member of SS. Peter and Paul R.C.C in Lansford where she sung in the choir and worked in the bingo kitchen for many years. Margie’s life was focused on her family. She loved to cook, making halupkis, baking, gardening, enjoyed polka music, the Hometown Auction and her trips to the Dollar Tree.
She faced more than a few struggles in her life and will be remembered as a wonderful role model who had an enduring strength, kind and generous heart, a great laughter and her ability to be resourceful in the face of adversity. She was unforgettable and will be forever missed.
