Patricia Ann Barnes, 85, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, September 22nd, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, on June 10, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Samuel & Sadie (Wagner) Schaeffer.

She shared 65 years of marriage with her loving husband, Albert T. Barnes, Sr, who survives her.

Patricia attended Schuylkill Haven schools.

She was a member of Salvation Army, Pottsville.

In addition to her work as a homemaker, Patricia helped her husband operate their business, Versa-Tron, as Secretary/ Co-Owner.

In addition to her husband, Patricia is survived by children Cynthia Ann Foreman wife of William Leo, Kansas City, Missouri, Thomas Barnes, Sr, Denise Koscil, Cressona, Randy A. Barnes husband of Angie, Kansas City, Missouri, and Albert T. Barnes, Jr. husband of AnnMarie, Minersville; 15 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 1great-great-grandchild; and siblings Claude and Dale Schaeffer.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc., Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 26th, with Envoy Brad Harris officiating.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 9:30 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

At her family's request, donations in Patricia's memory may be sent to Salvation Army 400 Sanderson Street, Pottsville, PA 17901.

George Andrew Elo, 65, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, September 20th, at his residence.

Born in Pottsville,on October 2, 1953, a son of George Elo, of Schuylkill Haven and the late Helen (McGowan) Elo.

He was formerly employed at Schuylkill Haven Bleach and Dye and AWI, Robesonia.

He was a graduate of St. Clair High School.

George is preceded in death by brothers Joseph and Michael.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his children George H. Elo, Lebanon, Jessica Elo, Cressona and Daniel Elo husband of Tanya, Auburn; grandchildren Caress and Sarah Edwards and Nathan and Brandon Elo; siblings James Elo, New Jersey, Mark Elo, Tennessee, Mary Ann Hummel, Friedensburg and Joseph Andrew Jordan, Schuylkill Haven; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home, Inc. , Schuylkill Haven, at 10:30 on Wednesday, September 25th,with Pastor Ken McDowell officiating.

A viewing for family and friends will be held Wednesday 9:30 am at the funeral home prior to the service.

Interment will be at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.

Sue L. Klem, 76, Pottsville, died Monday afternoon at her residence with her husband Joseph by her side.

Born March 16, 1943, in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late George and Catherine Klem.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. She was employed as an accountant at the former Miner’s Bank, Pottsville.

Sue is survived by her husband Joseph Moore, MarLin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM Monday September 30 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends may call from 10 AM until time of mass at the church. Interment will be held on the grounds of St. John’s RC Cemetery. Schlitzer Allen Pugh 515 West Market Street Pottsville has charge of arrangements. Debra A. Horan, 58, of Girardville, passed away peacefully Sunday night at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, with her loving family by her side.

Born in Ashland, she was a daughter of Rich and Judy Moser, Girardville. She had been employed as a sales associate for Dynamark Securities until her illness.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland. Debra was an avid Notre Dame fan and loved her numerous trips to Notre Dame with the girls and also loved working in her garden. She recently took a trip with her sister to see her niece, Ashley Schultz, receive her white coat in becoming a doctor, which made her so proud.

She was preceded in death by a sister Gail Durinko.

Debra is survived by her husband of 31 years Michael T. “Slip” Horan, her daughters Gail and Michelle Horan, Girardville, her brothers; John and his wife Sherry Heffner, Enola, Paul "Wink" Durinko, Girardville, Rick and Russ Moser both of Arizona, her sister Joanne wife of Dave Schultz, Lavelle, 10 nieces and nephews and will also be sadly missed by her puppies Bailey and Spankie.

Religious services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland with Rev. Dana Heckman- Beil officiating. A viewing will be held at the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home Inc. , Girardville, on Friday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Mary K. Pascavage, 96, a lifelong resident of Frackville passed away Sunday at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

Born in Frackville, January 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Koropchak.

Mary worked as a garment inspector for the former Charles Rabin Factory, Frackville.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish and active with many functions of the Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville. She was an active member of the Frackville Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Albert J. Pascavage, Sr., in 2006; a sister; Agnes Irvin; three brothers Alex, Peter and Andrew Koropchak.

Mary is survived by her two sons; Albert J. Pascavage, Jr. and his wife Sandra, Danville, Ill; and John A. Pascavage and his wife Patricia, Langhorne, PA; three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sisters; Anna Serano and Olga Kossick; a brother; Michael Koropchak; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, Frackville with Rev. Brian Miller, pastor, as celebrant. Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Albert L. Gricoski Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Hometown.

On Monday morning, September 23, 2019 Mary Eileen (Beck) Reichwein of Fountain Springs passed away surrounded by her family. Mary was 91 years old.

Born on August 16, 1928 in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Schuler) Beck.

She attended St. Mauritius Grade School and was a 1946 graduate of Ashland High School where she was known to her classmates as "Becky". She was voted best all-around athlete, captain of the cheerleaders, and completed 12 years of school with Perfect Attendence!

On June 16, 1951, Eileen married James Reichwein of Fountain Springs, where they lived and raised their family and operated Reichwein's Dairy Farms for many years. The farm was a wonderful place that everyone loved and where family and friends gathered. Eileen worked for many years at the Ashland Knitting Mill and enjoyed many years of retirement. Eileen was a member of the former St. Mauritius Catholic Church now St. Charles Borromeo and was a devout Catholic. Eileen was a very loving person, a great daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend who was very patient, calm, and kind. She loved her husband and family was most proud of her three grandchildren, Rebecca, T.J., and Logan.

She is survived by her four daughters and their families: Anne Reichwein Paul and her husband Ellis and their daughter, Rebecca; Barbara Reichwein Malinowski and her husband Dr. Alfred J.; Eileen Reichwein Matern and her husband Thomas (Todd) Matern and their son Thomas (TJ); Susan Reichwein Bell and her son Logan. She is also survived by her brother John (Jack) Beck and his wife Sandra. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her beloved husband James in April of 2000 and siblings- Helen Rice, Joseph Beck, Charles Beck, and Dorothy Catizone. An infant grandson Ellis James Paul in October 1989.

A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Ashland. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Ft. Springs. ​The family requests that anyone wishing to remember Mary Eileen with expressions of sympathy can do so by saying a prayer for her today for a life well-lived. Also in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eileen's memory to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital www.stjude.org.

Robert J. "Coalie" Stremick, 77 years of age of Valley Street Brockton entered into eternal rest, Monday September 23, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Pottsville on September 7, 1942, Coalie was the son of the late Martha (Lincovich) Haffey. He was also predeceased by his step-father, Frank Haffey and brother, Charles Stremick.

A member of Holy Cross R.C.C. of New Philadelphia, Coalie worked for St. Clair Garment and retired from S.T.S. where he drove bus for a number of years. In retirement, he helped his son with his business, Robert Stremick Trucking.

Coalie enjoyed hunting and fishing and the companionship of his dog, Daisy. He was a member of the former Brockton Fire Company, Tamaqua Pool League , and Mountain Valley Sr. Golf League. Coalie was one of Schuylkill Counties preeminent pool shooters. He also coached his granddaughters' travel softball teams for many years.

Coalie is survived by; his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Ann V. (Nothstein) Stremick; daughter, Margaret Ann Bensinger and her husband David of Tamaqua; son, Robert R. Stremick and his wife Marina of Minersville; brother, John Stremick and his wife Nellie of Mary D; grandchildren, Heather Patrick and her husband Rafe, Jennifer Schock and her husband Lamonte, Jessica Halabura and her husband Travis; great grandchildren who affectionately called him Poppy, Harleigh, Lyla, Teyla, and Emma. Nieces and great nieces also survive Coalie.
