In March 2019, the recyclable food tray manufacturer, announced that it was expanding its North American footprint by purchasing and renovating an additional 80,000 sq. ft. thermoforming plant in Frackville.
The project initially created approximately 25 new jobs and as of Thursday, the plant employed 50 people and expected to expected to grow to more than 125.
The Frackville plant, which brings Clearly Clean’s total number of locations to seven, will produce the company’s patented 100% recyclable, smooth-edged Roll Over-Wrap™ trays and vacuum-sealed packaging (VSP) trays as well as its patented, award-winning, recyclable modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) trays. Clearly Clean’s recyclable food trays can be utilized for meat, poultry, seafood, produce, and deli. They can also be customized in terms of size, shape, and color.
The ceremony on Thursday brought many Schuylkill County, State, and National dignitaries to the event.
Speaking at the event included Master of Ceremonies, Robert Carl, President of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, Senator Dave Argall, Congressman Dan Meuser, Schuylkill County Commissioner George Halcovage, Representative Jerry Knowles, and Dennis Davin, Pennsylvania Secretary of Community and Economic Development.
The ceremony concluded with their own unique ribbon, recycled plastic that was produced right in the plant.
