Around 9:30am Saturday, emergency personnel were dispatched to East Mahanoy Avenue between Julia Street and 2nd Street for a motorcycle accident.
Details were not available on the crash, but one male was taken from the scene of the crash to the Girardville Baseball Field where he was flown to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
The Rangers Hose Company in Girardville handled the crash scene and landing zone. The Washington Ambulance and Shenandoah Ambulance were also called to the scene.
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
