Bertha B. Stahler-Bennick, 89 of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday morning October 13, 2019 in her residence. She was the widow of Vinson C. Sathler who died in 1989 and James Bennick who died in 2017.
She was born in West Penn Township, a daughter of the late Milton N. and Mabel (Miller) Bailey.
Bertha was employed as a floor worker for the former Fessler Knitting Mill in Orwigsburg, PA until retiring in 1994.
Her survivors are include two daughters, Donna L. Deem with whom she resided and Joyce A. (Terry W.) Shellhammer of New Ringgold, PA; two sons, Jeffrey V. ( Angela) Stahler of New Ringgold, PA and Steven C. (Rita) Stahler of Minersville, PA; brother, Curtis J. (Dorothy) Bailey of New Ringgold, PA; 8 grand children; 7 great grand children and 3 great, great grandchildren. She was also predeceased by five brothers; two sisters and a son-in-law, Ernest L. Deem.
Her funeral service will take place on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00 am at Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc,, 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, PA 17960 with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Zions Stone Church Cemetery, New Ringgold.

Allen R. Flail, 73 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania died suddenly on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at home.
Born Friday, September 6, 1946 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania son of the late Stratton and Edith A. (Faust) Flail. He was also predeceased by his brother, David C. Faust on June 15, 2019.
Surviving are; sister, Elaine Nattress of Tamaqua, brother, Rodger Flail of Treskow; nieces and nephews.
A 1965 Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Allen worked in the Textile Industry. He resided in Florida for many years. Allen was a talented artisit and avid reader.

Marie Weremedic, 85, lifelong Frackville resident, passed away peacefully Sunday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Mary Kuchta Sagan. She worked as an LPN at the former Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville until her retirement.
Marie was a devout member of Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville, where she was very active in her parish life through the various committees and organizations that she served on.
She was a 1952 graduate of the former Frackville High School and a graduate of the LPN program of Schuylkill Vo-Tech, Marlin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three sisters: Carole Sagan, Lynn Chrush and Suzanne Sagan.
Marie is survived by her husband of 63 years, Peter Weremedic, Frackville; her three sons: Michael and his wife Roseanne Weremedic, Frackville; Peter Weremedic, Bethlehem; V. Rev. James Weremedic and Mat. Lisa, Coaldale; two brothers: Nicholas and his wife Barbara Sagan, Laurel, MD, Theodore and his wife Jeanette Sagan, Saint Clair; a brother-in-law Dennis Chrush, Bethlehem and a sister-in-law Betty Russell Weremedic, Frackville; her four grandchildren: Elizabeth, wife of John Wittig, Michael and his wife Amanda Weremedic, Sub-deacon James Weremedic Jr. and Victoria Weremedic; her four loving great-grandchildren: Madeline and Sophia Wittig and Nicholas and Noah Weremedic; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday October 17th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ascension Orthodox Church, Frackville with V. Rev. James Jadick as the celebrant. Friends may call at the Thomas M. Joan O. (Schruff) Gray, 82, of Pottsville, PA, formerly of Pass Christian, MS, Bloomsburg, PA, and Orwigsburg, PA, passed away Friday, October 11th, peacefully, at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pottsville
Joan was born in Pass Christian, MS on April 27, 1937, a daughter of the late Shirley (Brownlee) and Louis J. Schruff.
She was a 1954 graduate of St. Joseph's Catholic School.
She was the wife of Robert W. Gray, Jr., and they were happily married for 65 years.
Joan was a member of St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972, as well as a member of St. Columbia Parish, Bloomsburg. She was a volunteer at Geisinger Medical Center, and she served on the Geisinger Woman's Auxillary. She also served on the board of Greater Pottsville Winter Carnival, and was a Cub Scout Leader.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by two sons: Robert W. Gray III, and Jeffrey C. Gray; brother, Lawrence Schruff of Gulfport, MS.
In addition to her husband, Joan is survived by two daughters, Eileen M. Rhody & husband, Andrew J., of Schuylkill Haven;Debra Schiavoni, of Lancaster; a son, Gregory Gray & wife, Elizabeth, of Pottsville;
She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, brother, Louis McCall Schruff, of Long Beach, MS, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church, Schuylkill Haven,at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16th,with Rev. Msgr. Edward S. Zemanik officiating.

Donna Jeanne Yatcilla, 76, of Hometown, PA died on Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Coaldale, PA. She was the wife of William Yatcilla who passed away in 2018.
Born in Coaldale, PA on October 22, 1942, Donna was a daughter of the late Joseph Dreher and Alice Spack.
A 1960 graduate of Marian High School, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Weatherwood Nursing Home in Weatherly, PA and was a devoted member of St. Richard of Chichester Catholic Church, Barnesville, PA where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a lector for many years. Donna loved to garden and landscape around her home.
She is survived by sons Russell Troy Gilbert of Hometown, Darrell Todd Gilbert of Nesquehoning, PA, Shawn Eric Gilbert of Hometown, and Terrance Andre Gilbert of Hometown; grandchildren Peyton Gilbert, Alden Gilbert, Tyler Alexander Gilbert, Jordan Reabold, and Ashley Frederick; and one great-grandchild. Donna was predeceased by a brother, Barry Spack.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 15 in St. Richard Catholic Church, 799 Barnesville Drive, Barnesville. Henry J. “Hank” Faleski, 68, of 202 Furnace St, Shenandoah (Turkey Run) passed away on Saturday, October 12th at his home. Born in Shenandoah on October 2nd, 1951 he was the son of the late Henry T. and Helen “Mentz” Faleski.
Hank was a 1969 graduate of the former J.W. Cooper High School in Shenandoah and then went on to earn an associates degree. He worked as a corrections officer at the Schuylkill County Prison for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the East End Field & Stream Club, a former member of the Arrowhead Rod and Gun Club, and had a love for sports being an avid Penn State and New York Yankee fan.
Besides his parents, Hank was preceded by his father-in-law, John “JB” Buchinsky and 1 brother-in-law, Michael Pribish.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Julie Buchinsky whom he married on September 20th, 2011, but had spent the last 32 years together. His mother-in-law, Madeline Buchinsky, 2 brothers-in-law, Jack Buchinsky (Mary Lou) and Yogi Buchinsky (Eileen), 1 sister-in-law, Joann Pribish, nieces, nephews, several cousins, and many dear friends also survive.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 17th at 11am in Divine Mercy Parish – Sacred Worship Site – St. Casimir’s, 229 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah officiated by Msgr. Ronald Bocian. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 10:30am at the Oravitz Home for Funerals Inc, 40 N. Jardin St, Shenandoah. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights.
